Throughout the year, youn8 peyjple identified the issue5 that mattered most to them, induding stop and Searc

We offer young people. peer mentorin& I:1 mentorin& online mentoEin& lactrto-face mentorin& mentors and
8UPPOrt to set up their own projects. These PTOitK1s are pritnarily delivered as extra￿rrICUlar sessions
educational institutions. or in the cornrnuDity. and are open to all youns people. We particularly target
disadvantaged areas and seek to appeal to Y{AU￿ people who have not previcwly engaged in formal
volunteering. There are no fee5 for young people to take part.
Last year our focus was C￿ indi8enou8communities. and wehave continued tg developed pro8rammes to tar8et
speeific 8roup5 01 young people who find it PartiL￿lar1Y difficult to en8a8e in their (x)mmutiities. The Jnajority of
young people we en8age in these activities are young people aged 14-25 livin8 in Lancashire. Many of thefftr
project5 benefit these communities. althou8h some youn8 people th005e to address wider national and
Anlernational issues. Durin8 the pandemicyoun8 people have organised a series ofonline sUPPOrt sessions, peer
support for other ytNn8 people who were 5uffuin8 the adverne impact of the pandemyc.

Thls Is an on8oing and popularpn)mme, in respon$e to Youth Action's membership the youngpeople wtshed
to undertake prosrammes of work whith examined the faiths and to challenge the slereotypegl promote an
under8tanding olhow people live. how their faith moulds the Y(￿n8 people's lives and characteristies.
Thisprogrammebrousht togetherover50young people of various faiths- they were all involved in theplannins
of visits to places of worship taIkins to key contacts of the organtsation and tsknng a lead role in the workshop5
whith followed. This promoted discu&gion5 and open di•logue and ultimately created a safe spaee for dialogue.
The youn8 people acknowledged the Similarities and also learnt that people of dIffw￿l religions was not about
compromising their own principles and beliets - but getting rid of misconceptions and preiudices. Iwkin8 for
common ground tn shared values and findTng Cc￿StrUrtive ways to discuss genuine areas ofdisagreement. The
youn8 people also recosnised that was a 8rowing trend ofnot 8Lthscribin8 to a faith group.

We create opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities to gain skills and opportunities to attend
international events. conference5, and S￿la1 acti(￿ programmes. This is done through our parthers the British

and CToatia were develos*d. Moving further. there are plans lo devel￿ more Middle East opportunities with
