Chaimian's Re
Vice Presidents.. Ladies & Gentlemen who will be missed by all
A sad year for the club, the tragic loss of Paul Booth will remain with me for many years, a Ereat man
and myfriend who will be missed by all. Paul was VI￿ Chairman of the Community Project and
Chairman of the Junior Section and had been involved in the club f￿ many. many years from the Junior
Section through to our Walking Football Sectlon.
Our senior teams had a mixed season-the first team finished a creditsble 6 position in Division l. Our
Reserves came runners up in the Canterbury Cup and lost in the serni finals of the Kent Cup to the
eventual winners. Our new Dover Sunday League side struggled with administration early in the season
but once new manager Tom Dunford took the reigns things improved as the season progressed and we
have hi8h hopes for them next season.
I will leave Calvin to report on the Junior Section and Mik Jones to report on the Walking Football
section- I can't thank them enough for all their efForts this year, their input into those sections 15
invaluable.
I would again thank all managers, assistants. trainers and sponsors for all their support over the sea50n.
I think you will agree that the new playground is an amaiing additi￿ to the club and took many hour5
and weekends to build. I would like to thank all who volunteered their tirne, effort and even materials to
make this happen from Walking Footballerfs to Junior Managers. pafents and 5UPPOrters.
Our 100 Club has just started up again my thanks to Vera for running this and new members are always
welcome.
The pitch is looking great and has had ivs usual sumrner overhaul and, to date not requiring much
watering but I'm sure Ajan & Norman are getting prepared.
I would like to give specific thanks to the following people:
Roly Wilkinson, our Membership Officer who is always prepared to help out with any tssks we need.
Nicola Hunt our Social Secretary for running and htisting quizzes and helptng out during other important
social funrtlons.
Sandra Piper. our Treasurer- her role is rnore demanding with the increase in card payments and
elertronic banking. Also. Sandra 5UPF)Orts all our soaal functions a5 well as helping to run the bar.
Anne Ambrose, our club Secretary- her role is more demanding with the increase in teams and
associated administration. also helptng at ourfunctions as well as the bar.
Calvin Wood-Taklng on the role of chairman of the Junlor Settion as well as the vice Ch•irman of the
club following the Sad loss of Paul- Calvin is also our Funding Officer, and with the help of Jamie Luck
and Pat Sutcliffe secured great funding for the dub.
Bev Latham our Junior and fixtures Secretary as well asthe Welfare Officerfor the whole club.

Chairman's Re
Jamle Luck has rejoined the dub having taken a break to Set up his business- he has tsken a leading
role in the organisation of the current improvements being undertaken in the club because of Calvin's
fundraising eftorts.
Alan Philpott- I cannot say enough words to thank Alan for all he does, the club WOLtld b¢10st without
hlm - the amount of tlme he spends at the dub maintainin& clearirs and tldylng the clubhouse and
ground5 far exceeds u5 all.
I would also like to thank all of our committee members for their hard work over the past year.
The fruits of our labour are startin8 to make 8reat than8es to the clubhousè and grounds.
Thls concludes my report.

ort
I would like to begin th15 report by remembering our dearest friend and colleague, Paul Booth. Having
him taken from us at such a young age and by a horrendous disease left us all rocking on our heels.
Having been asked by Gary and the committee to step in to replace Paul came with a mixed ba8 of
emotions- obviously saddened to have to do this but also honoured to have been asked. Paul's shoes
are so massive, l am unlikely to everflll them completdy, but I will do my utm05t besL
As always. thanks go out to everyone who has helped the junior sertions, be that those on the
committee, team managers and parents. A special thanks goes to Bev, who agaln, has taken on so many
roles In thls club and the local lea8ues- how Bev finds the tlme amazes me.
Our presentation day was well attended again and we managed to dodge the raln for the maln event-
we should be proud as a dub at beln8 able to host thls and honour our youn8 players.
On the pitch, all our teams have performed ex￿lIentlY all season, despite some poor behaviours from
some opposltlon ¢lubs. Our younBest teams, the Uvs, seem to be regularly scorlng Into the double
dl8ltS-they are a team who are a Joy to watch.
Unfortunately, our U15s last seawn were unable to join the Kent Youth League and this se850n they
have been denied entry- I I￿pe they do not feel too despondent and wlll smash the East Kent Youth
league dlvlslons Instead.
Thanks to Jamie Luck and Tony Parsons who are looklng to start up •n U65 team thi5 comin8 ￿aSon,
8lvsng us fresh blood for the fU￿re. Thls season we are expectln8 to have not only these but also 2 x
U9s, U12s, 2 x U14s and U16s.

Hello Everyone
We've had yet another busy year at the club with lots Boing on- hopefullyp you have all seen the
Changes Boln8 on. Calvin has done a brilliant job acquiring some really useful grant5 recently and
everyone has pulled together to make our ideas a realrty. Huge thanks to Jamie as well who has
come on board recently and projert managed the changes to the dubhouse and also assisting Calvin
wSth the fundin8. The Developmènt team has been working hard in the backeround to plan long

Football Sectlon Re
All in all I think that the Walking Football section have had a fairly successful season.
The 505 finished in the top half of the tsble despite having to play some games with players missing
due to work commitment5. They did however play in several tourn•nents and managed to wln the
majority of them.
They have had an increase of numbers recently and intend to enter two teams in the League in the
new Season.
One of thelr members, Terry Mulholland, ha5 become the League secretary for next season. Terry Is
also a qualified referee.
The 60s Reds team won the East Kent Division but lost narrowly In the Kent final to a very good
Bexley team.
The Bees team whose ethos is to share the 8ames out so that anyone who wants to play wlll get
falr share of the games finished in the bottom half of the table and •re quite happy wlth that. To st511
be playlng at our age Is a bonu5. wln orlose.
In the Natlonal Cups we didn't get past the re8lonal sectlon thls year, wlth the over 65's narrowly
loslng in the South East final to Bexley
We held a very successful pair of tournaments ourselves, run by Terry Mulholland and members of
the Woodne5borough Committee themselves, in aid of Motor Neurone Disease. Several clubs are
already Interested in playing a8aln next year.
Once agaln, thanks for all of the help given to U5 by the Commlttee. It is havln8 5uth a good
commlttee that keeps this dub successful.
