The Limited Company was incorporated on 4111 May 2011 and was dornianl until 6 July 2011 when Frensham
Pond Sailability {FPS) was entered on the Register of Charities. These accounts cover the accounting period
from 1° November 2023 to 3151 October 2024.

The cornpany is limited by Guarantee and is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association
dated 16th January 2024. It is a registered charity {No.1142761). The sole Full Member is Frensham Pond
Sailing Club (Activities) Ltd (FPSCA) as repr￿nted by FPSCA'S General Committec ("GC").

The appointm¢TJt of Trustees is undertaken by the sole FLLII M¢mber. In addilion. every year one third of the
trustees must retire from officc but are eligible for reappointment At t])e GC meeting of 218t May 2024. the
GC appmed the reolection of C. Simon Crowther and Paul J. Schroeder. The new appointments were
accepted by the Companies House and Charity Commission during Junc 2024.

Administration of the affairs of the Charity is carried out by the Sailability Management Committe¢ ("SMC'),
which tncets regularly throughout the year and ib attended by ihe majority of the Trusiees and other invitees
as required. Trustees are always in ihe majority on the Committee. In addition, the TrL￿te¢S mecl a5 required
and at least onc¢ a year.

The Charity's manageJnent comrnillee has assess￿ the major risks lo which the charity is exposed, in
particular those related to the operdiions and finances of the Charity and 15 S8tisfied that the systems are in
place to mitigaie our exposure lo the major risks.
Ob'ectives and A¢tivities
Frensham Pond Sailability ("FPS" or the "Charity") is a registered charity whose objects are the provision
and maintenante of Sailing facilities 2nd the promotion of sailing for recr¢ation OT Other leisure activitie5
{in¢luding without limitation recreational and ¢otnpetitive sailing) for disabled people with the object of
iTnproving their quality and conditions of life. Membership is open to adults and youngsters and a free tasl¢r
visit is offered on the initial visit.
Financed largely by ¢haritable donations. the Charity 0￿rat¢S a sailing fleet of 33 boats (including I safety
boat) al Frensham Pond, fr￿n the premises of Fr¢nsham Pond Sailing Club (Aclivilies) Lld. which is the
sole Full Member of Frensl)aTn Pond Sailability. Prior to the establishment of the company and registered
charity. Sailability was established in September 2001 as a division of Frensham Pond Sailing Club.
The Charity's a¢tivities are facilitated entirely by volunteer helpers including a team of RYA qualified
instrnctors who are available to &ssisl with trnining and development of all levels of S￿l0r, from novice to
Paralympic r&¢ing slandaTd.

AchievemeDts and Performanee
General O
iew
Frensham Pond Sail&bility had a very successful Sailing Season in 2024, with attendance ut record l¢vels.
2024 Scason highlights atr:
Membership and sailiiig s¢ssion5 at record levels. This season saw 157 sailor members (51 new
and 106 returning). 39 sailors were und¢r 19 yeBrs old. This y¢ar 2494 individual sailing
sessions were provided (vs 2098 in 2023). This included 471 race training s¢ssions ¢ompar¢d
with 376 in 2023.
MO￿ participation by Soh¢x)Is and other Groups. Ridgeway School and Pathway5 Educatio
sailed in the Summer Temi with Undershaw and Pond Me&dow Schools sailing in the Autumn.
One-off events w¢re held for Shooting Star Hospi¢e, Fanihllm I,ions and Flalow Project. These
tliree events provided sailing to children and young adult5 from local orgai)isations.
Youth and Progress Groups thriving. These groups have dedicated sessions with on-water
aching on Saturdays and continue to be very popular.
SailiT]g successes in UK and iiiternational eYei)Is. Sailorg from FPS participated in 9 Hansa
TravellerTrophy ¢v¢nts al various v¢nues and the UK Hansa Nationa15 retaining th¢ Ben Ainslie
Trophy for the 171h ¢on5CCUtive year as the most successful Hansa Team in the UK. Six
Frenslmm sailors also competed in the Hansa European Champioiiships al Sneek, The
Netherlands where a Frensham sailor became th¢ l.lan5a European Champion in the Liberty
Class.
The Charity's programm¢ has been supported ttiis year by 104 a¢¢iv¢ volunteers (vs 98 in 2023).
We liave continiied our comprehensiv¢ volunteer Irainii)g which includes Firsi Aid. Hoisting.
Buddyingy Disability Awareness and Safeguarding. All volunteer6 hav¢ up lo date DBS
certification.
New oiilin¢ boat bookin8 System and database. We have introduced a bespoke IT system
developed by one of our sailors to help manage our sailing 5e&8ions and our sailor and voluiitcer
membership records.
rive of our sailors ai)d volunteers have won awards from the local sporting community. One
sailor and iwo volunteers won awards from Farnham Sports Council aiid on¢ sailor aiid 01)e
voluntcer won aw8rds from Sport Haslemere.
Financial Review
Frensham Pond Sail&bility remains finaiicially securc. Our ￿gUlar donors continued to support us for
which we are grateful, and we maiiitained costs under control. We ¢onrinue to invest in our assets and
infrastructure ai)d manage reserves for the Iiew A¢tivity Centre building, whi¢h remaii)s subject to the
Club's leas¢ ren¢wal.

oi) Cash Reserves
Our policy on Reserves remains the same, with our aim for an equivalent of b¢￿een one and on¢ and a
haifyear's expenditur¢ in a normal year to be held as Cash Reserves. Our Cash Reserves amoiinted to
£189,127given by the ¢x¢¢plional natur¢ of the bequest received in 2021 and the pendÉng approval for
th¢ n¢w Activity Centre from FPSC.

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items reco￿1$ed at C05t or
trdnsfyction value unless othetivise stated in the relevant not¢s to these accounts. The accounts have been
prepared in accordance with th¢ Statement of Recommend¢d Practice "Accounting and reporting by
Charities" preparing their accounts in accordance wilh the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the
UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued in July 2014 and with the Charities 201 l. The charity
constitutes a public b¢nefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
