The Coopers Edge Trust 18 a community-led organisation, which operates the new primary school and community
centre in Coopers Edge. The organisation was fortll6d as a result of 8 successfu1 pioposal from the Community
Edge Community Group and the Robinswood Trust.

service5 and strengthening ties tre￿e￿n Iriends, families and neighbours.
Wilh 30% Df social housing on the development, the Trust's Int6nlion is to provide workshops and se￿l¢e$ to give
peoplè them the skllls Jnd ¢onlldence to improve Iheif charlcèg ol employment. This work slfeam alsD extends to
protnoting and dislribuling seed lundillg for social enlerprise. By offering rasldènls pump prime funding and trainlng
in starting up businèsses, the Trust hopes 10 8ncourag6 the growth ol social enlerprisas, thus conlribuling to
employment and neighbourhood prosperity.

During the period Ihgr8 was eontinued developm8nt for The Cwpers Edge Trust, following the restructure of
aclivilies and roles, the continuing success of OUT slrale9ic partnetship Iwith Deli Edge) and tho streamlining of a
nurnber of ￿ThIre activilies we havo continued our locus on th8 piofilability of the centre which ensures the centre
r8mains a viaNe self-funding operalion and allows us lo fund further community activities in the future.
We are particularly proud that the cenlre has continued to StreT￿gthen its lies with its existing Cornmunity user base
and is now used by an ever￿loW1ng section of the community, the Community Centre continues lo b8 a real hub for
the cnmmunity.

These are the demographics who are ¢urrenlly under served by th8 c8ntr8.
Community Centre Pèrfoimaneè
Over the past year the Community Centre has stayed financially stable. while continuing lo be a community hub and
providing a reasonably priced venue foi events. We have also invested some ol the profits marte from hlring the
centre lo improve our onllne impact, with a vibrant and user.friendly website and new booklng system.
As well as putting the monies back into Ihe ¢entrÈ for essentsal maintenance gnd iepairs Ihal have com8 LSP ov8r the
past year (including pleclrical safety and boiler repairs), we have also eTllployed a specialised contractor to overse$
maintenance and laige rgpairs. Due to several unexpo¢led Issues over the past year, It was fell that having an
annual contract 1¢> maintain lh8 buildlng as w&ll as ensuring we comply with any regulation's was esséntial.
The partnership belwBen the Centre and Deli Edge Café conlinues lo grow and be of benefit to both, together we
have improved the facilities as wall as continuing lo offer a waim & welcomlng space to the eommunily.
We have Gontinufjd to support and engage wilh local peoplE starting up new projects, Rs well as supporting our
already large network of Éxisting hirers. While larggling a new user demographic ol older adults without ¢hildr8n,
wtlh the Introduction of walkitTrg Crickèt with the support of The Gloueèslèrshire Cricket Foundation. We hope to grow
these typ88 of actions over the next year.
We have also continued wllh Ire¢ ¢ommunlty events, includlng ourAnnual Christmas event, Summer Parly and with
th8 Coopèrs Edge Community Church a lange of Free Surnrner Olyrnpie èvents.
We are now in a position ol posltlve growth, good customèr retention and ar8 financially stable.

The above graph shows room utills8tion by number of hours for each month, A5 YOU Can see the sports hall rernains
consistent from November to July, dropping in August lor plann6d summer breaks by regular hirers. Howgver. these
figures change during August, as we implemented a n9w booking System which went live from Seplernber. The data
is r8cord8d slightly differèntly but still shows a good uptake frorn S&pt8mber and October. We will have a clearer
view of the irnpacl of our booking system changes in the 24-25 report.
The below chart shows that utllization ha8 grown significantly in September and October, we expect this to even out
over the next year.

We hope to continue this growth in the ntrxt year. while continuing our support for local people. We are looking long
term to investigate the use of grants to enhance the offerings al the community centre. We are also committed to
helping to provide free training and workshops for loweriincome local families as well as growing our events
calendar,
We are expecting to bè closèd for one month nèxt year while essential bullding work is undèrtaken by Stroud
Dislri¢t CoLJnciI. This needs lo be completed before w8 take ownership ol the building in Ihe lulure.
