**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF BUDDHISM FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:- 1)ENCOURAGING MEMBERS AND OTHERS TO LIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHING OF THE BUDDHA; 2)SUPPORTING MEMBERS OF THE TRIRATNA BUDDHIST ORDER AND OTHER DULY ORDAINED BUDDHISTS, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE CHARITY; 3)MAINTAINING CLOSE COMMUNICATION WITH AND WORK IN CO-OPERATION WITH OTHER GROUPS WITH THE SAME OBJECTS.

**Activities:** The charity advances the Buddhist religion by overseeing the training and ordination of new members of the Triratna Buddhist Order and by making the teaching of Buddhist as presented by Urgyen Sangharakshita available on an international basis to the general public. The charity operates a retreat and study centre located in Herefordshire open to anyone interested in exploring Buddhism.
