The North Fylde Circuit, 1/24 Team NFC T ogether E veryone A ccomplishes M ore

Annual Report for the Charity Commission (1[st] September 2024 – 31[st] August 2025)

The North Fylde Circuit serves the communities of Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Thornton Cleveleys, Poulton and Over-Wyre (Knott End and Pilling) through five Methodist churches. During the reporting period, the Circuit Team comprised three ordained staff (presbyters) and one employed Children, Youth and Families Enabler.

Our churches vary in size and worship style, reflecting the diversity of our communities. Across the Circuit, we have increased opportunities for shared worship and collaboration, including Circuit Services, retreats and vision days. Our Circuit Facebook page supports communication and public engagement by sharing activities across the Circuit and enabling initiatives such as our ‘Thought for the Month’ videos.

We continued to develop our work with children, young people and families through a growing Circuit-wide volunteer team, led by the Children, Youth and Families Enabler. The team meets regularly for fellowship, support, planning, and delivery of activities, including our Summer Holiday Club and the Just Bee Outdoors Group.

We began developing a Circuit-wide approach to working together as TEAM NFC (North Fylde Circuit), strengthening shared responsibility and collaborative delivery across the life of the Circuit, guided by the principle that ‘Together Everyone Accomplishes More’. Our aims for TEAM NFC are to increase participation in Circuit meetings, share prayer and Bible study across churches, to continue opportunities for the Circuit to meet alongside Circuit Services, and work more collaboratively as one Circuit rather than five separate communities. This work is progressing as we prepare for staffing changes in September 2025, following the retirement of our current Superintendent. Rev Will Hunter’s retirement was marked at a Circuit Service at Poulton Methodist Church on Sunday 13[th] July, celebrating his ministry among us and recognising the transition of responsibilities to the remaining staff members.

We recognise the challenges faced by our churches and communities, and we remain grateful for the commitment of those who serve across the North Fylde Circuit. As we continue to plan and discern for the future, we do so with confidence in God’s faithfulness and with a focus on sustaining and developing our mission and ministry in the years ahead.

Rev Katie Leonowicz Superintendent of the North Fylde Circuit 27[th] April 2026
