Shepherds in need of protec�on and care providing where necessary, a�en�on and treatment for the dogs we accept into rescue.
Assessing and removing dogs from situa�ons which may cause danger to the public, par�cularly to children.
To make the public aware of the responsibili�es of adop�ng (keeping) a German Shepherd and the need for properly socialised dogs in the community.
In accordance with our aims in the past year, 60 dogs have been placed with new keepers, 6 are in boarding at Heathrow Kennels, 2 are boarded in Star Kennels, 3 are being cared for by Sue and Keith, 1 is in rehabilita�on with Dave Clark and 4 are in foster care.

Alas, The Kennel Club did not organise Discover Dogs at Excel this year. Apparently due to the moun�ng costs of travel for par�cipants.
In March this year, as always, Anne and wonderful volunteers travelled to Cru�s Dog Show at the NEC. By all accounts it was a splendid day with many friends visi�ng the stall. We were there for the Pastoral and Working Dogs Day.
We would like to say a big thank you to Chris�ne Dore and all the supporters of BIGGSD for their constant help and very generous dona�ons, monies raised during the Sunday Dog Walks.
Garbo a�ended John Robson’s Memorial Day on July 15[th] . Paul and Cathy did a great job on the BBQ and although some of the gazebos blew away (due to some extremely violent gales) into neighbouring fields, I think J.R. would have been delighted with the turn out and the memories.
Thank you Sally, Jane, the Evans family, the Capes, everyone for your loyalty and unending support.
We want to give huge, sincere gra�tude to Berenice Serbie (the late John Cole’s daughter) for whelping li�le Poppy in her living room. Six beau�ful, healthy, mischievous puppies. Poppy was a li�le stray GSD found wandering with her mate, Basil, undoubtedly the sire of the pups. We are so thrilled to tell you, all this li�le family have been safely placed in homes and they are proving to be deligh�ul, friendly souls. Thank you Bee, what a saint you are!
