who reports to the trustees. The Trustees oversee the overall

We have a Child Protection Policy and a qua1rf18d Social Worker is our
designated CPO. W8 undertake DBS checks with staff and volunteers
before they wmmence work. Staff and volunleers also undertake
Safeguarding Training which is regularly refreshed in line with our CPP.
The Trustees also undertake safeguarding training and have DBS checks
in line with statutory requirements.
I trustees give their time freety and receive no remuneration or other
benefits.

and in consultation wtth the young people. Wè were able to retum lo
normal youth club sèssions and in addition lo this we also worked in
partnership with Rothert)am MBC providing holiday activities IHAF) and

Ganoral Youth Club: This is a universal servic8 open to young peop18
aged 8 and over. They are welcome to attend to take part in activities and
workshops. or simply to relax and spend time with friends in a safe,
welcoming environment.
Our actrvity offer is varied and engaging, includlng drama, ICT,
Playststion, sports, disco. and karaoke. Alongside thesè, we run
workshops covering a wide range of topics such as staying safe, healthy
lifestyles, active citizenship. stress management, and Conflict resolution.
Food plays an important part in our sessions too. We regularty prepare
meals and bake with the young peop￿, creating opportunilies to leam
prathcal skills, buikl a>nfidenca, and enjoy shared experi8n¢es.
Heafth & wellbelng." We continue to offer a WKle range of wellb8ing and
personal-development sessions. both within our weekly youth club
programme and as part of our holiday aclivity provision. These include
guided meditation, stress-managemenl workshops. positive-relationships
sessions. and advice around dnjgs and alcohol. Each session is sh8p8d
around the real, identified needs of the young people we work with,
ensuring the support is ￿leVant, responsive. and genuinely useful in their
day-to4ay lives.
Drama: Drama workshops are an 8xcell8nl vehicle for developing young
people's confidence. communication skills. and teamwork. while also
providing a creative space to explore issue-based youth work. Our
sessions are open lo young people aged 8 to 18, and we normally wn
weekly workshops with several perfomian¢es throughout the year.
This year broijght unexpected challenges. Our partnership work with
Rotherham's Capital of Culture meant that we were reliant on the
coun￿1.S stheduling and organisalion, which unfortunalely proved
disorganised al times. This had a real impact on our performance
timetable and created uncertainty for both staff and young people.
Despite these hurdles. the group rose to the occasion wilh remarkable
resilience. In the end, the young people wrote and directed an entirely
original piece of drama
powerful, creatrve perfomiance that
showcased Iheir talent, teamwork. and determination. 11 was truly
spectacular, and a testament to what young people can achieve when
they are trusted, supported, and given Spa￿ to lead.
Community Support & Events: We continue to work in partnershlp with
the community centre to deliver high-quality evenls throughout the year.

welcomin9 atrnosphere to every event. Famili8s see young peopl8
contribuling positively, and the centre benefits from stronger
relationships, increased engagement. and events that feel truly
communty-led.
Summer Actlvftlos: This year we refresh8d wr summer programme
with a brand.n8w approach. We split the young people into teams and
set them fun. competitive challenges inspired by I'm a Cèlébrity.. Get Me
Out of Here. The mix of games, tasks. aThJ teamwork brought oul so
much confKlence. laughter, and leadership.
We also hosted a talent show for parents, giving the young people a
chance to shine and celebrate their creativity. To round evèrything off. we
held a c*lebrat￿n èvent with a bLJffet, where families and staff came
together to recognise everyone's achievements.
The young p80pI8 absolulety k)ved it. arKI the whole summer had a
brilliant sense of exat8ment. communty. and prKIe.
Volunteers.. We continue to offer a wide ranga of volunteering
opportunities for young p80ple, supported by a full volunteer pack and
aG¢ess to relevant training. Many of our young people actively choose to
volunleef al o)mmunity evènts. help run actNitl8s, and tske on leadershlp
roles. They particularly enjoy being part of our Young People's
Committee, where they can shape ideas, influence decisions, and have a
real voice in how our provision develops.
In addition to youth volunteering. we also provid6 m88ningful
volunteering opportunities for adults who want to support local young
P80ple. ¢ontribute lo the community, or develop théir own skills and
experiencè.

To maintain financial stability, we aim lo hold no mor8 than six months of
running costs in reserve. These reseNes are used to support 8ny
unfunded operational expenses and to bridge gaps belween funding
periods, ensuring that project delivery can continue smoothly and without
interruption.

Most of our income is secured through grants for specific project work,
including funding from RMBC'S Untversal Youth Work Fund and the
Holiday Activity Fund. As a charity delivering fronlline youth seryices, a
srgnificant risk to our cOntinUat￿n is the potential failure to secure
ongoing funding to support our programmes.
Aiongsid8 grant income. we also generate a small amount of ￿venue
through our snack bar and weekly subscriptions. These contributions
help us cover essential ￿re costs. such as our insurance premium.
ensuring we can continue to Operate safely and sustainably.
