## **St John Apostolic Church of The Whole World** ## **Chairman's report accounting period December 2023** As the chairman and on behalf of St John Apostolic Church of The Whole UK, I would like to start by thanking for the hard work of trustees and volunteers and all congregates in the year 2023, the Charity managed to give in an incredible amount of time and money to raise an income of £95 194.00 and a big thank you to them all. The Charity relies heavily on the goodwill and generosity of the local communities we operate in, and we are ever grateful for all their support. A big thank you to the trustees and volunteers for their financial support which helped the Charity in meeting its obligations. with hosting the 2023 global convention. A lot of time and money was put into hosting this convention as we were to cater for congregates and delegates from around the globe. £33 179.00 was raised towards this cause and £16 115.00 went into accommodation and food at the Hayes Conference centre. The convention when it finally took place, it was a great success as all were spiritually enhanced. On top of these commitments the charity continued with its community support projects in Zimbabwe and our beloved volunteers and trustees supported financially for this cause. The Charity’s fundraising of funds for our local project of buying our own building in the UK where we intend to support the needy and the homeless was shelved in this financial year as all efforts were centred on hosting the convention and our pot still sits at £34 833.00. Our doors are open to all people regardless of any background and we continue to look forward receiving more volunteers so we can meet all obligations. A1: These accounts have been prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards: the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by Charities 2005 and the Financial Reporting Standards issued on 16 July 2014 applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. A2: These accounts have been prepared under the ongoing concern basis. 1: The Charity's main source of income is through selling of church merchandise and food, and through voluntary donations like offerings and tithes from church members, well wishers and visitors throughout the seven assemblies we have in the U.K. Funds also come from instruction offerings and charitable activities like the St John Day celebrations and the end of year Dinner Dance. The project to purchase a building in the U.K to further enhance its charitable activities was shelved aside in this accounting period as the Charity put all efforts to fund-raising for the global convention held in the UK and £34 833.00 is still in the bank towards this cause but will be revived in the 2024 accounting period. The total funds collected in this period is £95 194.00 as compared to £49 929.00 in the previous reporting period, this is a quite an increase as there an increase in fundraising due to the global convention which was held in December. - 2: In the 2023 period the Charity raised £33 179.00 through fundraising activities and all funds were all channelled towards the hosting of UK Global convention. - 3: The total income for this accounting period was £128 373.00 double the previous year income of £60216.00. 7 4: The total expenses for this accounting period were £120 160.00 and the highest was for assembly halls and national gatherings, the global convention we hosted cost £16 115.00 for accommodation alone. Also, the other notable expense was for community support funds which we send to Zimbabwe for charitable activities in the rural communities of Zimbabwe which is where our church is headquartered. - 5: The net disposable cash is £8 212.60 for this financial period - 6: Between January and December 2022, the Charity does not have any non-current assets. 7: The only assets the Charity has in this period is current assets in the form of cash in the bank amounting to £51 316.60 which includes retained earnings of £43104.00 from previous period and £8212.60 for 2023 accounting period. - 8: No receivables were expected this period. 9: The Charity has liabilities this period 0f £248.00 for rentals to be paid January 2024 thereby taking our assets less liabilities to £51068.60. - 10: None of the trustees received any remuneration during the year. - 11: The Charity does not have any employees remunerated in this period.
