As the last Chair of Easy-Go CT Istockportl Limiled. it is with boih pride and great sadness that I present this final
report marking Ihe official ¢losure ol our charily. Over the last 40+ years. the organisation has worked tirelessly to
supporl our mission and serve the community. making a posrtNe impad and assisting countless residents ol
Stockport and further afield wrth accessible transport to enable them to 8CCèSS Vltal seNices such as health and
education whilst also pioviding 8ddilitsnal benefits to those Ihal have used our services. An Incredible amount has
been achieved over the year5 and the organisalion has adapted when Ihe circumstance dtretned il necessary, all
made possible by the dedication & hard work of our drivers, passengers assistance. mana9emenl, vc>lunl¢¢rs.
supporters and also the truslees.
The decision lo close h88 nol been taken lightly. After thorough deliberalion and consultation with trustees, staff,
and stakeholders. il became clear that winding down operations was in the best interests of 811 concemed and in
line with our legal and financial obligations. The primary factors leading to this decjsion include

vehicle fleetlcosts. the cost to replace the vehide fleet, inueasing costs ol running the service while available
funding Pots (from Local Authorities etcl have been decTe8sing for a number of years now as well as issues such
as fewer number ol drivers having automatic D1 entitlement on their driving licences. Our service operations
ceased at th8 end ol July 2025 while our wonderful managernenl team ol Sue, Call and Lucy ensuring the office
side of Ihe org8ni5alion was wound down by the end of August 2025 Sue and Carf have continued to support the
Trustees wth the winding down process into 2026 along with assistance Irom Gi8ham Tudhope. I would like to
thank them for going above and beyond with this additional support.
I would like to take this opportunrty to exlend my heartfelt thanks lo all who have contributed to the organisalion
over Ihe las140+ years. To our volunteers, donors. partners. and 518ff - your generosity, hard work, and dedication
have been the backbone of the organisation and the high level ol service provided and let us not forget the lasling
impact of oui collective efforts have had on a great deal of people who havè access our services over the years.
Remaining funds will be distributed in 8c¢ordance wrth our charitable aims and regulafory iequifemenls. We ar&

The Trustees havè ma(5e the decesion for the Charity to ceasè opeialing. Ihis 16 disclosed further in the
Chairman's rep¢rt. The financial persiod was extended to 17 months lo coinride with the completion tsf the
outstanding contracts and for the staff redundancy process to be completed.
The Charity will complete a final set of financial statÈmenls that wll cover a period that allows for all Temaining
assets to be recovered, liabilities settled and any rernianing funds to be donated to 8 local charty with similar
aims and objectives.
The accounts have beèn prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sef out in note 1 to the accounts
and comply with Ihe ¢harily'5 governing documenl, set out on page 4, the Companies Acl 2006 and "Acwunting
and Reporting by Ch8rilies' Statement of Recommended Practi¢e applicable to charities preparing theiT accounts
in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standaid applicable in the UK and Republic ol Ireland IFRS 1021" las

The Trustees confirm that they h8ve had due regard to the Charrty Commission'$ 9vidance on public benefit.
Easy-Go CT (Stockport) Limiled's activilies were demonstrably carried out for Ihe benefit of the publi¢,
particulaily Individu81s with protected characterislics and those experiencing social and economic disadvantage.

Adult and Social Care transport services
Transport for ch41dren with Speaal Educational Needs and Dis8bilitiès ISENO} to and from school
NHS-sUPPOrted patient transport, primarily lor individuals requiring regular dialysis Ire8lmenl
These services remained operational for as long as wa$ fin8naally leasible, renecting the TfUStees' commilment
lo beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Applications for ernploymenl by disabled persons had a￿ayS been fully considered. bearing in mbnd the
apliludes of the applicant concerned. Had a membèr ol stalf become disabled, every effort would have made lo
ensure that their employrnent within the charity continued and that the appropriate training had been arranged. 11
was the policy of the charity that the training. career devtrlopment and promotion of disabled persons should. as
far as possible, be identical to Ihat of other employeès.

During the period, the total incoming resovr¢es We￿ £1,026,980 as compared to £738,319 in Ihe previou5
period.
Total resources expended in the period were £1,078,164 as compared lo £686.370 in the previous period.
The def￿11 for the peri¢)d was £51.184 88 comparèd to a surplus of £51,949 in the prior period.
11 was the policy of the charity that unrestricled funds which have not been designated for a specific use should
be maintained al a level eouivalent to between three and six month's expendituie. The trustees considered thal
resetvès 81 this level would ensure Ihal. in the event of a significanl di()p in fvnding, they would be able to
continue the charity's current activities while ctsnsideration was given to ways in which addition81 funds could be
raised. This level of reserves had been maintained throughout the per￿d and the Charity upon dosure is in a
position to pay all outstanding liabilities.

support Ihroughovt the wind-down period.
As part of the closure process, Easy-Go CT (Stockport) Limited's vehicles were disposed of through auction, with
proceeds applied in accordance with the charity's obligations.

responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and United

1.1 Accounung Convention
The accounts have been prepared in a¢¢ord8n¢e with the charity's goveming document. sel out on pag• 4.
the Companies Act 20[￿ and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities". Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to ¢h8rities preparing their accoun15 in 8c¢oidance with the Financial Reporfing Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Iceland IFRS 1021" las arnended for accounting periods commencing
from 1 January 20161. The Charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The charity has laken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for charities applying FRS 102 Update Bulletin
1 nol to prepare a Statement of Cash Flows.
The financial stalements are prepared in slerting, whith is the fvnctional currency of the charity. Monetary
amounts in these financial st8t¢ments are rounded lo the nearest £

adopted are set out below.
1.2 Going concern
The Trustees of thè Charity have made the decesion to dose Ihe Charity. They have extended the period end
to 31 August 2025. this period covers Ihe end of services they were contracted to operate and the completion
of the redundancy process Post this period the entity will sell its 8SSets, seltle outstanding liab11￿.es and
donate any remaining funds to a li)¢81 ¢harity with similar aims and objectives.
1.3 Charitable funds
Unrestricted fvnds are available for use al the diS￿li0n of the trustees in furtherance of their charitable
objectives.
Restricted funds afe subjeet to specffic conditions by donors or 9rantors as to how they may be used. The
purposes and uses of the Teslricled funds are set out in the note5 to the financial statements.
Endowment fvnd5 8rÈ subject to speafic condilions by donors th81 the capital must be maintained by the
charity.

Ihe obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditure is classrfied by activity. The costs of each activity are madè up of the lolal of direct costs and
shared costs, including supporl costs involved In undertaking èach activity. Direct cosls attribulable to a single
activity are allocated directly to that aclivity Shared costs which contribule lo more than one activity and
