Section D Achievements and performance

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

In the 2020/2021 financial year our key focus was:- **May-July 2020**

Over this period a total of £6,703 was sent out to Uganda to enable the purchase and distribution of maize flour. Distribution groups were made up of lay readers; clergy; poor families we have previously visited with food parcel by pupils from our Deanery; widows, grandmothers and single mothers of any denomination. This has totalled around 350 families, with each family consisting of four or five relatives. The maize flour helped to provide two meals each day, a breakfast of maize porridge and an evening meal of posho. The money raised was via donations from folk in Whitchurch Deanery.

## **Latrine building program**

Over the year £9,646 that had been raised by our linked UK schools to build five new latrines on five of our linked primary schools in Uganda.

## **Desks**

£800 was used to purchase new desks for a linked school

Continued support for the Kindergarten and Butoloogo Health Clinic has been provided through the year.

A comprehensive Study Report was undertaken by our key contacts in Uganda to identify the most appropriate siting for building another Health Clinic. Funding for this will come via a legacy the Trust will be receiving.

Bringing together people across NW Hampshire to keep them informed of what we are doing in Mityana, Uganda

We have been keeping our web site updated via a blog.

Working within Covid restrictions we have offered support for local organisations (schools, churches, adult groups) to be better informed or do fund raising or charitable work.
