OTWB aims to bring together a network of occupational therapists who have interest in occupational therapy in marginalised and poor communities from small and medium economic areas, promote an understanding of how as occupational therapists we can most appropriately apply our practice in the context of these regions and whenever possible we intend to work together with our overseas;
Objects: 3. The Charity’s Objects (“Objects”) Are Specifically Restricted To The Following:to Further Such Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Public As The Directors See Fit From Time To Time (In Particular Those In Or From Sub Saharan Africa And Among The Diaspora Community) In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Following Means:(a) The Relief Of Poverty;(b) The Relief Of Those In Financial Need Hardship Or Distress;(c) The Relief Of The Sick And The Promotion Of Good Health;(d) The Relief And Assistance Of People In Any Part Of The World Who Are The Victims Of War Or Natural Disaster, Trouble, Or Catastrophe In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Supply Of Medical Aid To Such Persons; And(e) The Advancement Of Education For The Public Benefit; (F) The Promotion Of Racial Harmony;(g) Promoting And Conserving The Natural Environment;(h) The Relief Of Unemployment For The Benefit Of The Public In Such Ways As May Be Thought Fit, Including Assistance To Find Employment And The Creation Of (Small) Businesses; And(i) To Advance In Life, Relieve The Needs Of And Help Those In Need Of Assistance In Particular Women Through The Provision Of Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.
