the payment of fee5 mlght be an obstacle to thelr partlclpatlon In ¢rf¢ket actlvltles at the Club. The prfnclpal Ilmlt on
the number of playin8 members at the aub has hlstori¢ally been the lack of fa¢illties that we have had avalloble for
our use. However. we expanded our playlno facilltles In recent year5 and th15 has allowed us to c¢￿tInUe to gr¢w our

Cricket Board IECBI. Thls documentsummarlses the actlvStles that are planned to achleve our Object￿e5.
We are a club foc(*sed sdely on ¢rl¢ket.
In Senior Cri¢ke¢ ECC a8ain had six senior Men's tearns playing league cricket in the Mlddle5ex County Cricket Lea8ue
IMCCLI on Saturdays, wlth a full 18 match r￿tUre schedule. We participated in the ECB National Club Champlonshlp,
the ECB Natlonal T20 Cup, the MiddleseK Cup, Club CTicket Conference Cup, Midtjlesex Cricket BDard Developmertt
League, the ECB U19 Natianal aub Champlonship, the Middlesex Crlcket Women'5 league and the Chess Valley
League.
The Junlor Crlcket sectlon, whlch had approximately 5th) members In 2025. aged between 5 and 17 In 29 lunlor teams,
Is supported by senlor quallfled professional ¢08¢hes. led by our DirertC>r tsf CrickeL Shaftab Khalld, and asslsied by a
large number of volunteer ¢oaches, mostly drawn from the parent5 of the junior Cricketers. Many of the volunteer
¢08¢hes undertake ECB sponsored coachin8 courses and some 80 onto Level 2 courses. Our Glrfs, sectSon remains one
of the largest in the country with over 100 glrls.
Senlor crlcket Ss provlded by the Oub a¢ross a spertrum Of standards and comp￿li1VeneSS and is played by
partl¢5pants with a wide range of ablllty levels. It Is a150 an Inte8ral part of the continuum of youth development and
parti¢lpatlon.
The senlor Men's and Women's teams often Include a slgnificant numbor of Junlor Crlcketers 8Ivin8 our younger
players the opportunlty to 8et exposure to mor& experSenced crltketers artd to play at a hlgher level.
The Club provldes playln8 OPPOrtunltles lor all levels of ablllty although all teams are usually selected on ablllty. Thls
ensures that tearns contaSn the skllls necessary Ifor example, bowlln8, battSng, fleldin8 and wlcket-keepSn81 and that
players play cricket at a level tommensyrate to thelr ¢ompeten¢e to ensure saf￿. Selettlon Is based on the
experiente and Judgement of ¢oa¢hes takin8 int¢ a¢¢ounl a number of fart¢rs In¢ludln8 the balance tsf skllls needed
and player avallabllity. When there are 5ufflcient players avallable, the Club seeks to or8anlse addltlonal fixtures,
In recent years, our Junlor crldcet actSvities has expanded conslderably and as a result we have needèd to expand our
playlng fadlltles. Our three grounds - Corfton Road, PopÈsfield and Brentfield are all in regular use throughout thè
summèr, but are nDt sufFiciÈnt for our current needs. In 2026, we will a8a¢n need to hire additional playing facilities to
tater for 311 of our planned actNities. Ané we contlnue to look actlvely at acqulrfng, on a long term basls, addltional
playin8 facilitie5.
Coachin8 course5 for young cricketers on Sundays and throughout the school holidays continue to be run at the Club
under our brand, p￿MIer Cricket Coaching. And, In recent years, our comprehensive wlnter training programme for
our junior Cricketer5 has been very popular. When there 15 5ufficlent demand, we also run Indoor coachlnk ¢ourses
durlng the wlnter durln8 the Ortober and February half term breaks and durlng the Chrlstmas holldays.
The Club has for many years aCt￿e1¥ en888èd with a rtumber of local sthools whère wè assist the development of
crlcket In the schools. We have also hosted Kwik CrickÈt compÈtitions run on behalf of Active Eèlin6. Schotsls Sports
Partnerships and othèr competitions on behalf of Middlesex Cricket and the Mlddlesex lunlor Cricket Assoaation and
work closelywith Active Ealin8 and others promoting crlcket In ourlocal communlty.

appointment or reappointment.

fortunate to have.

controls are in place to provlde reasonable assurance a8ainst fraud and error. The Trustee5 monitor the financial
performance and control closely and receive regular reports on various aspects of the Club's actlvities. Financial
tontrol systems have been implemÈnted and these are subject to ongoing review and improvemènt. Health, safety
and insU￿nce reviews are undertaken at least annually.

Trustees have establlshed a development sub commSttee to look at the future development needs of the Club and to
seek to ensure that we are 'future proofed,. The reserves avallable to the Club will be available to provide support for

The Trustees con51dered how the c￿h reserves retained should bE Invested for the benefit of the Club. An Investment
5ub-commlttee, comprfsed of James Grfgg, Mark Grafton, Martin Turner and Vlkram Patel, was convened to consider
the best approach. All 4 members of the Investment sub-commlttee have $18nlfTcant relevant experience in the
Investment of fund5.
The Trustees agreed with the investment sub-committee's recommendations. which were as foll¢w$'.

investments with a 1smitÈd exposure to fixed income investments. In this context, approximately 70% af thÈ
investment portfolio would be allocated to investments in index funds Ilnked to the major 8IDbal m3rkets, with an 8(1%
eXp0s￿re to equity based investments and a 20% exposure to flxed Income investments, wlth the balance invested
with active fund mana8ers, who have an exceptional ￿cOrd, providlng expDsure to high quality b￿lneSSeS wSth stron8
competitlve posltlDns, con5ervatwe leverage and attractlve growth pr95pects.
In reachlng the investment sub-committee's recommendations, financial advice wa5 SOUBht from 1st Fin8nclal Llrnited,
an Independent Financial Athser registered with the Financial Conduct Authorfty. It should be noted that 1st Financial
Llmited Is a company assoclated wlth Vikram Patel. who was. at that tlme. also a Trustee. The Trustees considered
whether reeeiving finan¢ial advi¢e from 1st Financial Limited might represent a conflirt of interest. The Trustees
¢onduded that. as 1st Financial Limited was not char8ing a fee for prowdin8 advice to the Club, there was no conflict
of interest that was of concern.
The pro8ramme of Investment In the portfollo commenced in August 2020 and was completed In lune 2021. The
Investment 5ub-cornmlttee contlnues to monltor the perfomiance of the portfollo and the allocatlon of assets withln
the portfolio and may recommend changes to the Trustee5 In the future.
The Trustees have due regard to 8uldance publlshed by the Charlty Commlsslon, Includlng that relatlng to publlc
