Volunteers
Volunteers visit the centre every we¢k to help care for and feed lh¢ anima15. The Trustees would lik¢ ¢0 thank the
volunteers for their hard work.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

During Ihe pa51 year w¢ have continued io rescue and find homes for animals. In addition. we continued to care for animals al our
centre. During the year endcd 31 sl Ociob¢r 2025 the animals accepted included horst5. 8oat5. 5h¢¢p, ducks, pigeons. dnd p2bJ5.
Each day 365 days of the year usually six volunteers are present wilh ta5k5 including mucking oui. groominu. and helping wilh
animal husbandry, feoding, and manure removal. The voluntcers total 20. The outside solid ground aT￿ that was created coniinue5
to give animals in the wintertim¢ protection from standin8 on mud and water that can cause hami ￿ their h¢alth.

On 31" October 2025. the bank balance was £2,651, creditors £479, fix¢d a55ets £54,535 to give funds of £56,707.
During the year to 31, O¢tob¢r 2025 donation income fell short of ¢xp¢nditure to give £9,682 shortfall. There wer¢ no
additions to fixed assets. Bank balances hav¢ reduced.
The Trnstee5 would like to thank all those that gav¢ donations and grants.
Reserve5 policy
The Trusiees have reviewed reserves as follows..
The amounis are rounded for clarity.
Th¢ avernge amounts of monthly expenditure haye been £4,000.
The bank balance has fallen to £2,600. This needs io be 5uffi¢ient to cover points when the day-to-day timing of
expenditure i5 ahead of income to preveni the account going overdrawn. Th¢ reserves policy poinis to a bank balance or
£4,000 that covers one month's estimaied expenditure.

Reserves have been used for front line animal care. The Tru51ees consider that rhe £3,000 shortfall in reserves 1$
manageable given the Size and cir¢umsiances of the charity and believe thai ihe shortfall can be restor¢d through future
donation income. The principal risks and uncertainties facing th¢ ¢harity are danger to the animals in our care and
accidents to volunteers. Our strategies to manage ihese risks are training of volunteer5 and trustees, ¢10s¢ day by day
involvement working Wlth the animals and volunteer5.
Plans are to continue io care for anima15. train vglunteers and build upon donation income (o mainiain or increase our
capacity to accepi animals.

Governing document
The goveming document is the M¢morandum and Article5 of Association. This is a company limit¢d by guarantee 2nd
not haviiig a share capital. The governing document was registered at Coinpanies House on 17th May 2011.
