The trustees present their report and financial slalemenls for the year ended 31 March 2021.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sel out in note 1 10

In furtherance of that obie¢l but not otherwise. the Trustees are satisfied that the proposed activities will
further the purposes of the charity lo an extent justified by the resources committed and the adivity is not the
dominant means by which the Charity ￿rned out Ils objects.

In order lo achieve the aims and obie¢ts"ves ol the charty. the TNslees make donations lo a var• of
organisalions.
The trustees have paid due regard lo gu￿anCe issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities
the should undertake.
The Iruslees are aware of the Public Benefit provisions of the Charities Act 2011 and of the guidance on them
published by the Charity Commission. They are saltsfied that the obiects of ihe chanty and the activities of the
charity are within the definitions of the Charitable Purpose as set down In the Act. The trustees are not aware
of any publie delrimenl caused by the charity's objects or activities. and nor are Ihey aware of anyon8
receiving any private benefit from the chaftty's aclmties.
The objectives of the charity are lo promote human rights via the provision of grants, the giving of advice and
information. facililaling relevant research, as necessary. via sponsorship and othef charitable purposes as the
Truslees may Irom time lo time delemiine.
Dona110ns are awarded al the discretion of the Trustees following ¢Jue consideration of how the funds will
ultimately be spent in order lo ensure the furtherance of the the aims and obi8¢lives of the charity.

The Injustice Foundation Is an unincorpofaled charity and is registered with the Charity Commis5icn under

1.1 A¢count5ng convfrntion
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document, the
Charities Act 2011 and 'Accounling and Reporting by Chanlies. Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing their accounts In accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable In the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffectwe 1 January 20191" The ehafity is a Public
Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The charity has taken advantage of the provi5ion8 in the SORP fof charrties applying FRS 102 Update
8ulletin 1 not lo prepare a Stalgmenl of Cash Flows.
The financial 5talernenls have dgparte(I from the Charil*s (Accounts and Reportsl Regulations 2008 only
lo the extent required lo provide a true and lair view. Th15 departure has invotved following the Statement of
Recommended PraCt￿e for chantses apptying FRS 102 ralhef than the version ol the Slalemenl of

obieelives.
Restricted funds are subiecl lo specific condilion$ by donors as to how they may be used. The PufPK*$es
and uses of the reslficted funds a￿ sel out in the note5 to the financial slatemenl5.
1.4 Incomo
Income is recognised when the chanty is legalty enlilled to it after any perfomance ￿nditionS have been
met, the amounts can be measured reliabty. and rt 1$ probable that ineome will be received.
Cash donations are re￿gnIsed on ieceipl. Other donation5 are recognised once the charity has been
notified ol the donation. unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount Income lax
recoverable in relation to donations r￿e1Ved under Gift Ajd or deeds of covenant is re¢ogn15ed al the time
of the donation.
Legacies are wognised on feceipl or otherwise if Ihe chanty has been notified of an impending
dislribulion. the amount is known. and receipt is expected. If the amount is not known. the legacy s Irealed

nel basis or lo realise the asset and settle the liabilrty simultaneously.

Debt instruments are subsequently carned al amortised cost. using the effective interest Tate method.
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or seNices that have been acquired in the ordinary course
of operations frem suppliers. Amounts payable are classified a$ current liabilities if payment is due within
one year or less. If not. they are presented as non-currenl liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially

1.8 Taxation
The chaiily is exempl from corporation lax on income and gains falling wthin sects'on 505 of the Taxes Act
1988 or section 256 01 the Taxation of chargeable Gains Act 1992 lo the extent that these applied lo the
charitable objects

Provisions are recognised when the charity ha$ a legal or conslruclivg present obligation as ¥ result of
past event, il Is probable that the charity will be required lo settte ihal obligation and a reliable estimate can
be made of the amount of the obligation.
The amount reeognised as a provision Is the best estimate of the consideration required lo settle the
present obligation al the reporting end date. taking into account the risks and uncertainties surrounding the
obligation. Where the effect of the lime value of money is material, the amount expeded lo be required to
