streetfootballworld (sfw) was set up in 2002, working in the field of Development through Football. It set up the streetfootballworld network in 2004 to interconnect and strengthen the long-term social development initiatives pursued by members of the streetfootballworld network (network members) who use the potential of football to transform the lives of disadvantaged individuals from around the world. In October 2022 the organisation renamed to Common Goal gGmbH to unify the brand and align with the new strategy. There are currently over 200 community members, active in more than 100 countries worldwide, 12 of whom are based in the UK. The members overcome local social challenges with programmes that use football as a central instrument. The Charity, as the UK affiliate of Common Goal, **Summary of the main** aims to help disadvantaged youth and community development through **activities undertaken for the** football. Football is a vehicle for pursuing development of the life skills **public benefit in relation to** (e.g. team work) and values (e.g. mutual respect) of disadvantaged **these objects (include within** children and youths. Other goals for personal development include youth **this section the statutory** leadership, anti-discrimination, social integration, and peace building. The **declaration that trustees have** Charity aims to inform about poverty reduction, gender, health, and **had regard to the guidance** environmental issues along with job training. It will also encourage the **issued by the Charity** furtherance of recreation and amateur sport by using football as the **Commission on public** method to pursue the Charity’s objectives. **benefit)** The reason Common Goal UK was set up arose from the desire to further these aims by: 1. increasing community membership in the UK; 2. seeking to raise funds in the UK to support this kind of work around the world; and 3. developing a partnership with professional football in the UK so that its strength can be leveraged to help achieve the aims of the Charity. Common Goal is a global impact movement for the world of football, rooted in the belief that the world’s most popular sport is one of the few cultural forces strong enough to help shift society towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

The movement unites organisations, athletes, clubs, brands and other stakeholders in football to radically collaborate towards the wellbeing of our people and planet. To do so, Common Goal develops impact solutions to tackle humanity’s biggest challenges and provides opportunities for everyone that is part of the football community to contribute. Common Goal also provides a simple and impactful mechanism for everyone that is part of the football industry to pledge a minimum of 1% of their earnings to programmes that drive progress towards our people and planet.

Common Goal is a movement for those who love football and want the game to be the best version of itself, driving positive transformation within the game and inspiring everyone to work together towards a better future for all.

## Section D                      Achievements and erformance p

- With the financial contribution of Lyle & Scott Limited, Common Goal UK was able to support two community member organisations in carrying out projects in 2024 to further objects for the public benefit including, but not limited to, advancing in life and relieve needs of young people and their communities including by the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare. The project implemented with Association La Rotllana based in Barcelona, promoted the access to sports activities for young people in situations of social exclusion, especially the female community. The project was developed in six secondary schools, considered environments of maximum social complexity, where the practice of sports activities is encouraged as an instrument for the social inclusion of young people. The goal of the second project ‘No Age No Gender Can Hold Us Down 2.0’, implemented with ChoG – Champions ohne Grenzen e.V. based in Berlin, was to combat social exclusion among refugee women trans- and non-binary people using sport to build communities, boost self-esteem, and challenge gender stereotypes.

## **Section E                    Financial review**

The trustees have set a reserves policy which requires:

## **Brief statement of the**

**charity’s policy on reserves** Reserves be maintained at a level which ensures that Common Goal UK’s core activity could continue during a period of unforeseen difficulty. A proportion of reserves will be maintained in a readily realisable form. The calculation of the required level of reserves is an integral part of the organisation's planning, budget and forecast cycle. It will take into account: • Risks associated with each stream of income and expenditure being different from that budgeted • Planned activity level • Organisation's commitments The Trustees acknowledge that there has limited activity in the Charity over the last few years but that the intention is to build a much higher level of donations and the ability to fund more of its programmes. At the moment any surplus funds are going to building the reserve, while at the same time allocating as much as possible to programmes that are now underway. **Details of any funds materially** None – although still building the initial reserve, and with activity levels **in deficit** low at present the reserve is correspondingly low.

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);
