Activities
To advance the education of the public about the impact of war and the sacrifices made by all services people, in particular those made at the Normandy landings 6th June 1944. To further advance peace related education, protection of the natural environment and provide eco arts and crafts and events at a community Peace Orchard for the residents of Coventry and Warwickshire.
Objects: 1. To Advance The Education Of The Public In Citizenship, Military History, The Effects Of Armed Conflict, Conflict Resolution And Reconciliation Including But Not Limited To The History Of The Second World War And In Particular, The Landings In Normandy On 6 June 1944.2. The Promotion Of Good Citizenship For The Public Benefit Through The Provision And Maintenance Of A Memorial Orchard Garden To Commemorate And Remember Those Who Have Lost Their Lives Or Suffered Injury, Or Put Themselves At Risk Of Loss Of Life Or Injury In The Second World War And In Particular, The Landings In Normandy On 6 June 1944 Or Otherwise In Service Of The Public (the “peace Orchard”).3. To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation And Other Leisure Time Occupation In The Interests Of Social Welfare With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life For The Inhabitants Of Coventry In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Provision And Maintenance Of The Peace Orchard And Open Green Space.4. To Advance The Education Of The Public In Horticulture, Permaculture, Eco-Arts And Crafts, Health And Well-Being, And In Subjects Relating To Sustainable Development And The Protection, Enhancement And Rehabilitation Of The Environment .sustainable Development Means “development Which Meets The Needs Of The Present Without Compromising The Ability Of Future Generations To Meet Their Own Needs.
