children who are affected by illness or those children who suffer from a
form of disability which involves treatment and / or a stay in hospital and
their families, by providing such services, facilities and equipment as the
trustees in their absolute discretion determine, for use during their time in
hospital or at home, whilst receiving treatment, including operations and
rehabilitation, in particular but without limitation to supporting this object
in the following hospitals :- 1) Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust
Children Centre, Combe Park, Bath, BA1 3NG; 2) Bristol Royal Hospital
for Children, Paul O'Gorman Building, Upper Maudlin Street, Bristol, BS2
8BJ; 3) Yeovil District Hospital Children & Adolescent Services, Higher
Kingston, Yeovil, BA21 4AT| ||The aim of the charity is to help create a more comfortable and relaxed
atmosphere for children and their families in hospital or at home.
The charity works alongside specialists to purchase equipment and
refurbish areas to support not just those children who because of illness
or disability find themselves in hospital for treatment but also their
families who want to be with them because time is just that precious.
**We can help at home**
Time Is Precious aim to help as many children as possible who may need
extra equipment not supplied by the NHS at home. This could also
include sensory equipment, specialised devices such as Eye Gaze
Communication etc. Every child is unique & will need equipment to suit
them, working alongside hospital staff, to ensure the needs of the child is
met correctly.
**Hospitals**
Hospital life can be extremely stressful when you have an ill child. Time is
precious purchase amazing equipment to help relax the children as well
as helping distract them from traumatic procedures.
Family and friends like to visit young patients, but visits can be cut short
because it is difficult keeping brothers and sisters entertained. We want
to be able to make visiting time as best we can for everyone so they can
enjoy playing games, chatting and just being a family.
Hospital Wards, play and physiotherapy departments often need extra
funding for resources and equipment as Hospital budgets are limited.
The Charity aims to fund the departments by raising monies to purchase
equipment for the patients to use during their time in the hospital.

Yeovil Hospital Children's Ward| **TAR** 2 **Section D Achievements and performance** ## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** **Charitable Activities** The 2025/2026 year has been another busy and rewarding year for Time Is Precious. Despite a number of challenges, we have continued our commitment to improving hospital environments and supporting children and families across our local hospitals. **Hospital Equipment** We were delighted to fund and install: - **An interactive sensory screens** for Royal United Hospital (RUH). Providing distraction at the bedside or treatment rooms. - **One interactive floor projector** , for Bristol Children’s hospital providing a fun and engaging distraction for children undergoing treatment. We were also proud to announce the installation of our **21st Sensory Voyager** , this time within the **Accident & Emergency Department at Bristol Children’s Hospital** . These specialist sensory trolleys continue to make a significant difference by reducing anxiety and providing comfort for children during their hospital stay. ## **Maintaining Existing Equipment** This year has presented one of our biggest challenges in terms of maintaining the equipment we have donated over the years. A considerable amount of our time and resources has been dedicated to servicing, repairing and updating our sensory equipment across the hospitals. We are proud to say that every piece of equipment has now been maintained and returned to full working order wherever possible, ensuring thousands of children can continue to benefit from these valuable resources. ## **Supporting Children at Home** We were honoured to provide **state-of-the-art walking equipment (innowalk)** for **young patient at his home** this equipment will make a lasting difference to his mobility and quality of life. Following careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to **pause our home support equipment programme for the foreseeable future** . This will allow us to focus our charitable resources on our core hospital projects, where we can continue to support the greatest number of children and families. **Hospital Environment Improvements** Working in partnership with the **RUH Friends Charity** , we completed the refurbishment of the **Eye Department reception area** , providing new furniture and creating a more welcoming, comfortable environment for patients and their families. **Looking Ahead** As always, we remain committed to making hospitals less frightening and more child-friendly by investing in innovative sensory equipment, improving clinical environments, and supporting projects that have a lasting impact on children, families and NHS staff. **TAR** 3 ## **Fundraising** It has been another outstanding year for fundraising, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued generosity and support shown by our community, volunteers, businesses and supporters. Our **Bath Half Marathon** was once again a tremendous success, with **100 runners** proudly representing Time Is Precious in our distinctive bright pink shirts. It was our **second-highest fundraising total ever** from the event, reinforcing the Bath Half Marathon as our single largest annual fundraising event. We are immensely thankful to every runner, sponsor and volunteer who helped make the day such a success. We were also delighted to hold our **Turkey Trot** for the second consecutive year. The event continued to grow in popularity, with participation **tripling compared with the previous year** . In September, we organised a successful **Walk for Smiles** , bringing together supporters of all ages to raise vital funds while remembering the children and families we support. We are extremely proud to have been chosen as ** Somer valley Care Home’s and The Grove Primary school Charity of the Year**! Their commitment, enthusiasm and fundraising efforts throughout the year have been truly appreciated, and we thank everyone involved for their incredible support. Our valued corporate supporters have continued to play an important role in helping us achieve our goals. We are particularly grateful to **Parker’s Transport** for their ongoing support and generosity throughout the year. We were also honoured to receive another incredibly generous donation from the **Original Bristol Santa Float** , whose continued support has made a significant difference to the work of Time Is Precious. Overall, fundraising has remained exceptionally strong throughout the year. Despite the challenges faced by many charities, the unwavering support from our community, businesses, schools, volunteers and individual supporters has enabled us to continue funding projects that improve the lives of children and families in hospital. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has donated, fundraised, volunteered or supported Time Is Precious during the year. Your kindness and generosity make our work possible, and together we continue to create brighter hospital experiences for children. ## **Section E Financial review** **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** The charity started off with a large lump sum of money transferred from The Ben Halford Foundation (money raised by the public to try to send Ben to USA to keep him alive, but he deteriorated quicker than expected, so his parents set up Time Is Precious). We only commit to projects & equipment we know we can afford/raise, being realistic. If any grants are donated to a specific project this is always honoured. **TAR** 4 The financial Receipts and Payments Accounts are set out on page 7. **Further financial review** Through the fundraising efforts the charity achieved receipts in the period **details** of £115k (2025: £102k). Spending on core charitable activities totalled £56.5k (2025: £42.8k) in the year. It is my responsibility to: - examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, - to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and - to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. - **Basis of independent** My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given **examiner’s statement** by the Charity Commission.
