||The aim of the charity is to help create a more comfortable and relaxed<br>atmosphere for children and their families in hospital or at home.<br>The charity works alongside specialists to purchase equipment and<br>refurbish areas to support not just those children who because of illness<br>or disability find themselves in hospital for treatment but also their<br>families who want to be with them because time is just that precious.<br>**We can help at home**<br>Time Is Precious aim to help as many children as possible who may need<br>extra equipment not supplied by the NHS at home. This could also<br>include sensory equipment, specialised devices such as Eye Gaze<br>Communication etc. Every child is unique & will need equipment to suit<br>them, working alongside hospital staff, to ensure the needs of the child is<br>met correctly.<br>**Hospitals**<br>Hospital life can be extremely stressful when you have an ill child. Time is<br>precious purchase amazing equipment to help relax the children as well<br>as helping distract them from traumatic procedures.<br>Family and friends like to visit young patients, but visits can be cut short<br>because it is difficult keeping brothers and sisters entertained. We want<br>to be able to make visiting time as best we can for everyone so they can<br>enjoy playing games, chatting and just being a family.<br>Hospital Wards, play and physiotherapy departments often need extra<br>funding for resources and equipment as Hospital budgets are limited.<br>The Charity aims to fund the departments by raising monies to purchase<br>equipment for the patients to use during their time in the hospital.<br>The principal hospitals to Benefit are as follows:<br>�<br>Bristol Children's Hospital<br>�<br>RUH Bath Children's Ward<br>�<br>Booster Therapy Centre in the RUH Bath<br>�<br>Yeovil Hospital Children's Ward|

## **Section D                     Achievements and performance** 

**Charitable Activities Summary of the main** � The main project completed in the period was the RUH Bath children s **achievements of the charity** garden, opened in September 2021.  Three years in the making, the **during the year** project cost approximately £25k over that period.  Once equipment for the COVID ward has been removed from the site, this will clear the way for further equipment and improvements to the facility. We have purchased another specialised DVD/TV display (£16k), fitted into the MRI scanner at Bristol Children � s Hospital.  This was after the success of the same equipment installed at RUH Bath.  Total hospital equipment purchased for the year was £36k. We are continuing to fundraise to support two children with specialised equipment at home with the _������ Gift_ initiative. 

**Fundraising** Due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bath Half Marathon 2022, our main annual fundraising event, along with many other fundraising events and activities were cancelled or postponed.  In an effort to make up for this shortfall, online raffle and smaller fundraising events were organised. We were Charity of the Year for Hunter � s Estate Agents of Bristol. Support continued from local company Parkers Transport.

If any grants are donated to a specific project this is always<br>honoured.<br>As money raised within the Yeovil area, will be spent on Yeovil Hospital.<br>Any money raised not within this area, will go towards either Bath RUH or<br>Bristol Chi�������������������������������������������������<br>towards.|
||The financial Receipts and Payments Accounts are set out on page 6.<br>Through the fundraising efforts the charity achieved receipts in the period<br>of £53.4k (2021: £63.5k).<br>Spending on core charitable activities continued to be restricted in the<br>period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, totalling £42k (2021: £20.4k) in the<br>year.<br>Cash reserves remain high at £332k (2021: £341k) as the charity<br>continues to work towards hospital projects and in-home equipment<br>donations.|

- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. 

**Basis of independent** My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given **��������������������** by the Charity Commission.  An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.  It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
