The trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Objectives and Activities
Aims and Objectives
The charity's objectives are:
The relief of sickness and the preservation of health amongst children and young people.

To provide support and assistance to the families and carers of such children and young people. To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to childhood illness. To preserve and protect the health of children and young persons by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, support services and equipment not normally provided by the statutory authorities. To promote or assist in promoting research into causes, incidence and effects of stillbirth or other perinatal or neonatal death and into methods of alleviating suffering arising therefrom and to publish the results of research. To promote the health and well-being (whether material or social or mental) of parents affected by the stillbirth or perinatal or neonatal death of their child or children and, where necessary, to relieve or assist in relieving any mental or physical illness suffered by such parents as a result thereof.

To make grants to other charitable institutions having similar objects as the charity at such times and in such manner as the trustees shall in their discretion think fit.
The policies adopted in furtherance of these objects are to raise funds by means of fundraising events and apply these in accordance with the charity's objectives.
The fundraising events that were held during the year; Andrew Coltart Invitational and Jude Brady Cup.
The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the charity should undertake.
The objective for the year was to continue raising funds to enable the charity's objectives to be met.
Public Benefit
The charity was formed in 2011 to formalise work previously undertaken by P Brady. Trustees of varying skills were appointed to allow the charity to continue and expand on this work.
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of Section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Jude Brady Foundation (the Trust) for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Responsibilities and Basis of Report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent Examiner's Statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and contents of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. General Information
Jude Brady Foundation is an unincorporated charity registered with the Charity Commission, registered charity number 1141314. The principal address is Ground Floor, Unit 8, The Quadrangle Centre, The Drift, Nacton Road, Ipswich, IP3 9QR.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)", Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Charities Act 2011.
The charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
2.2. Fund Accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the trustees for a specific purpose.
Restricted funds are to be used for specific purposes as laid down by the donor.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
2.3. Incoming Resources
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
2.4. Resources Expended
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
2.5. Cash and Cash Equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand and deposits held at call with banks, other short-term highly liquid investments that mature in no more than three months from the date of acquisition and are readily convertible to a known amount of cash with insignificant risk of change in value, and bank overdrafts.
2.6. Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax as all its income is charitable and applied for charitable purposes.

Mutual Media (UK) Limited
A company owned and controlled by the Trustees P Brady and L Brady.
During the year a total of £21,317.85 (2023: £1,300.58) was paid, these transactions were undertaken on a commercial basis under normal market conditions. At the year end the amount owed to Mutual Media (UK) Limited was £nil (2022: £nil).
