ObJectlve$ and Actlvltles
Alms and Objectlves
The purpose of the charity is to improve the knowledge and understanding of environmental Issues and to show how bio-
diversity and farming t(￿ether with methods of preparing & preserving food affects the stability and integrity of the planet.
Through workshops, collaborative projects & events, the Trust highlights the connections between soil, food and health.
Central to the work of the Trust Is showing how locally grown, organic food 5UPPOrts, individual health, community 5tabilityi
minimi5es damage to natural resources and help5 mitigate climate change. The Trust shares knowledge with diverse group5
of people on how to gmw & process food using methods that ma¥imises nutrients.
The trustees have considered the Charity Commision's guidan￿ on public benefit, including the guidance 'public benefit..
running a cha￿ty IPB21'.
Achlevements and Performance
Main Achievements
During the year ending October 2025 Daphne Lambert, as the main educator within the Trust, facilitated nurnerous
workshops and retreats in a variety of venues including,.
Greencuisine HQ - Lewes. The Coaching Barn - Wallingford, Plumpton College @ Stanmer, Climate Hub - Lewes, Happv
River In the New Forest, Hawkwood College - cent￿ for Futu￿ Thinking Stroud.
Daphne's work on the innovative Forest Food Garden at the University of Sussex has continued throughout the year. Each
year sees 3 new cohort and her work with the students focuses on the connections between soil, food and health., the
benefits of eating nutrient dense foods and how best to preserve foods that a￿ harvesled from the Forest Food Garden.
Each semester ends with a themed feast In which both students and tutors create a dish to share. The themes In 2025 were
dishes that evoke a childhood memory & dishe5 tllade from foods that are or could be grown in a Forest Food Garden.
In September 2025 various donations supported a research residency collaboration between Greencuisine Trust & Living
Justice at Hawkwood Centre for Future Thinking.
The week long residency Clirnate Table - A Taste of Change, explO￿d how by sharing food together a5 food citizens we can
co-create just, restorative & whole-health food systems.
The approach was threefold..
l. explore with invited changemakers & Influencers the questions
'how are you contributing to restorative, resilient, whole health & just food cultures?
'how can we think differently about food and how can food help us think differently,.
amplify the work of organisations working to create fair & equitsble food 5yStems.
3. assess how our experiential methodologies can effect change and help cascade practices to a wider audience
A video was made of the residency and the work documented & circulated.
During year ending October 2025 the Trust developed a new workshop for people Involved in healthcare, especi311y medical
students, resident doctors, GP'S, allied health professionals, social workers & carers. A generous donation enabled us to
market the workshop and offer assisted places to students mostly through Nutritank.
We delivered two workshops one in July and one in August with a number scheduled in the calendar for 2025/26. The
workshops explore the connection between soil, food, health & wellbeing. At present the work5hop5 take place on Hay￿a￿S
Farm, a small biodynamic farm nestled in the West Sussex countryside on the edge of the South Downs National Park.
Whole Food Medicine has received very positive feedback from participants.

As the charity trustees OF the Company land also its d1￿CtorS for the purposes of company lawl, you are responsible for the
preparation of the accounts In accordance wlth the requlrements of the Companies Act 2006 1.the 2006 Act").
Having satisfled myself that the accounts of the Company are not requlred to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and
3re eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of your charity's accounts as carried out under
section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 I'the 2011 Act'l. In carrying out rny examination I have followed the Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 145151 Ibl of the 2011 Act.

I have completed my exarnination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination
giving me cause to believe..

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 "Accounting and
Reporting by Charitles.. Statement of Recommended Practice applitable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicabl& in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective I
january 20191. Financi31 Reporting Standard 102 "The Financi31 Reporting Standard applicable In the UK and Republic
of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
The charitable company Is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
2.2. Incoming Resources
All incorning ￿sOurceS are included in the statement of financial activities when the Charity is entitled to the Income
and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accurncy.
2.3. Resources Expended
Resources expended are recognised in the year In which they are Incurred Inclusive of irrecoverable VAT and are
allocated to the h&adings In the Statement of Financial Activities based on their nature.
Costs of generating voluntary income Includes expenditure relating to the raising of funds.
Expenditure relating to charitable activities includes all the costs relating to the delivery of its activities and services to
its beneficiaries.
Support costs are ovetheads with the allocation of support salary costs and other administration costs.
Governance costs are those incurred in connection with administration of the charity and compliance with
constitutional and statutory requirements.
2.4. Cash and Cash Equlvalents
Cash and cash equivalents are b3sic financial assets and include cash In hand and deposits held at call with banks,
other short-terrn highly liquid investment5 that tnature in no more than three months frorn the date of acquisition and
are readily convertible to a known arnount of cash with insignificant risk of change in value, and bank overdraft5.
