December 2023.
Introdu¢tlon
Nationally. men's health Is a growing issue partlcularty wlth diabete5, prostate cancer, heart di5ea5e. strokes,
obesity and many others and our goal 15 to continue our messages to men that with some lifestyle changes, often
'small' changes they can Ilve longer and healthier, We do not want to deliver fearful messages rather messages
that connect with men dellvered In an appropriate manner.
Income came from varlous source5 but mainly from the generosity of the UK public and the delivering of men's
health and wellbelng talks lor comrnercial organisatlons. During 2023, we continue to develop our understanding
of men's health and how men In vèrious ag@ bands, ethnicities. and educ8tion approach it. We still lack scale,
unlSke the bigger charltles such as Prostate UK and have made decisions that support our sile and minimise rlsk.
We wlll continue to pilot ideas our locus in 2023 has been around the growing number of enquiries we got to
hold rnen's health and wellbeing talks and the Income we receive as a result and that has allowed u5 have a new
webslte deslgned and to contlnue to develop our soclal media.
Oblectlves and Actbvltle5 01 the Charlty
A summary of the objects of the charity as set out In Its Bovefning document.
The Charity is reg5ste￿d in the name of the Blue Rlbbon Foundatlon. It Is an educatlonal trust and its misslon Is to
educate men and thelr partner5 to the beneflts of livlng a 'healthy' life, looklng alter themselves and also where
P05$1ble to fund projects that brln8 Dur me55aBes directly to men.
Publ1¢ beneNt that15 provlded by the th8rlty
The charity has been established to inform men of the dangers to their health and wellbein8. We consider our
work to be for the publlc benefit as defined by the Charity Commisslon, and for the benefit of society. Nationallyj
men's health Is a growing concem as It Is often said 'men don't do health, well at least 'm8ny mend don't do
health,.
Our g081 is to help to change this, not only for the benefit of the men themselves but also for thelr partners and
family. We want men to Ilve to thesr old age in a healthy and happy mannerl
Achlevement$ and performance
The growrh in our rnen's health and wellbelng talks durlng November saw u5 dellver 12 talks alone. We have
continued our SUPPDrt of the Downham Men's Group project COllS1Sting of a weekly men's 8roup and a men's over
50's walking football group.
The foundation contlnues to manage St5 flnances prudentty with admlnlstratlon costs being kept to an absolute
minimum.
During the year the charity's actlvltles have been solid with little real growth but it doe5 not apply for grants as
many charitles do, thus we contlnue to hold reserved over the 5ugge5ted limit5 of the Charities Cornmission.
