Achievements and performance

The charity carried one major activity in pursuance of it's charitable aims during the year under review. The trustees consider that this activity, Sunday and weekday services (summarised below), provide valuable benefits to both those who worship with the church and the community at large.

Sunday & Weekday Services

Our principal activities are our Sunday and weekday Services. These services are gatherings at our premises where anybody can come and pray, worship and learn more about the faith. The main services take place each Sunday between 16.30 pm - 19.30pm. During the week we have various other services/activities like Prayer meeting, Bible study, and Children music class, French lessons.

In planning our services we always take into consideration the Charity Commission`s general guidance on public benefit and, in particular, its supplementary public guidance on the advancement of religion for the public benefit. We strive to make all our services a welcoming venue for open worship (for members and non members) and a place where anybody in the community can seek counsel with the pastor.

Financial review

Mission Divine Flame ended the year with a surplus on general funds of £9,638 (2023 £3,612). To see the details of this result please refer to the financials statements for the period attached.

The trustees would like to work towards maintaining unrestricted funds at a level which equals approximately 6 months of unrestricted expenditure.

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's financial statements carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner's statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. the financial statements do not accord with those records; or

  3. the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair' view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
