## **FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024**
The Trustees have pleasure in submitting the Report and Accounts for the year.
## **Objects of the charity**
Your People My People (also known as YPMP) was established on 31st December 2010 under Deed of Trust.
The management of the Charity is the responsibility of the trustees who are elected under the terms of the Trust Deed. Potential trustees are provided with all the relevant guides from the charity commission before appointment.
Your People My People is a Christian charity established with the main objectives of promoting the Gospel, and relieving financial hardship and suffering in Israel, UK, and elsewhere. We also aim to educate the Church and the public about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith including an awareness of the history and culture of Israel.
## **Review of activities**
To further the above objects and vision, the charity's main activities and achievements were as follows:
This has been our fourteenth year of operation. Throughout the term we were able to raise funds and give grants to organisations in Israel who are sharing the Christian message in their local context, working across cultural differences to bring unity and understanding in the Christian community and beyond, and also to those who are working to relieve poverty and hardship. We have also taught and shared on the Jewish roots of the Christian faith through publications, blogs, emails, social media.
We regularly connect with the leaders of the Israel-based Christian and Messianic organisations that receive grants from Your People My People, using WhatsApp, emails, and newsletters, in order to foster relationships between us and the organisations we support, and to receive reports and updates on their respective projects. We also use our website, updating it with news and reports to share about our work with supporters, which complements our email news, printed updates and social media.
Grants to organisations are at the discretion of the trustees. A large percentage of grants come from restricted funds. Grants to organisations are made to groups promoting the Christian message, working to relieve poverty, hardship, sickness and distress.
The trustees take safeguarding seriously and some have undergone specific training in this area. All grant recipients have confirmed agreement and adherence to Your People My People’s Safeguarding Policy.
The Trustees attempted to visit the projects in Israel at various times throughout the year but unfortunately this was not possible in 2024, particularly due to repeated flight cancellations in conjunction with the need to coordinate schedules well ahead, to ensure access to the organisations we support in various parts of the country. Due to the current war between Hamas and Israel, and the FCDO advisory against all travel to parts of Israel constantly in flux, the trustees are keenly aware of the concerns around physically visiting the projects at this time, but are constantly monitoring the situation and will coordinate plans as soon as it is reasonably viable to do so. In the meantime, extra effort is being made to stay connected via online channels.
## Promoting the Gospel
This year we have supported organisations in Israel who are working with and mentoring Arab and Jewish followers of Jesus, promoting the Christian faith in their local, cultural context, and who are sharing the love of God through practical aid and help.
## Relief of poverty and suffering
We have given to needy causes in Israel via organisations we know and trust. These are giving practical assistance and emotional support to Holocaust survivors, poor families, new immigrants, the elderly, widows and single parent families.

## Education
We continue to regularly publish articles and information relevant to the work of YPMP via our website, including educational articles about Israel and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, special projects and information on the organisations we support. We also continue to maintain pages on several social networking sites.
YPMP produces a bi-monthly teaching newsletter that we send out to individuals and church groups, communicating on a range of issues relevant to learning about Israel and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, and updates from the organisations we support. In addition to this, an electronic news update is emailed monthly.
Your People My People continues to build relationships and develop projects that further the objectives of the Trust.
We are grateful to God for the consistent giving from donors which has enabled us to make a difference on the ground. This year giving has increased due to some significant one-off gifts which we are thankful for. The trustees will continue to monitor the generous giving we receive from organisations and individuals, and we look forward to more opportunities to support projects both in Israel and in the UK as funding allows. In planning the activities, the Trustees have applied the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission.
## **Financial review**
During the year income increased by £47,612, to £157,215, and expenditure increased by £44,488, to £153,101. As a result the cash held by the charity increased by £4,114, to £62,683, of which £14,991 is unrestricted and can be used for any charitable purpose.
## **Reserves policy**
Due to the low cost base of the charity and the level of funding that comes from administering the project grants, a policy has been set of retaining general free reserves of £12,000. At the end of the year end, the figure was £14,991.
The trustees have also agreed to hold a balance in restricted funds of at least £10,000 specifically for Dugit. At the year end, the balance for this fund was £44,296 (see Note 5 to the accounts).
## **Responsibilities of trustees**
Charity law requires us as Trustees to prepare financial statements for each accounting year which record the receipts and payments of the charity for the year.
We are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011.
We also have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of the charity and to take reasonable steps to prevent fraud or any other irregularities.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Your People My People ('the charity') for the year ended 31 December 2024 on pages 5 to 8 following.
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the 2011 Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
1. accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1 Accounting policies**
The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis and comprise a statement that shows the charity's receipts and payments, a statement that summarises the charity's assets and liabilities and related notes. The accountancy profession have determined that only accounts prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards present a 'true and fair' view and, as these receipts and payments accounts have not (and cannot) be prepared in accordance with accounting standards, these accounts do not present (and are not intended to present) a 'true and fair' view of the charity's financial activities and state of affairs.
General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity. Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the trustees for particular purposes. Restricted funds are donations which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors; they include donations received from appeals for specific activities or projects.

## **4 Transactions with related parties**
Amanda Harris and Karen Gower, both trustees, were each paid £23,100 [2023: £20,750] as employees of the trust; these payments are permitted by the charity's governing document.
No other payments were made to trustees or persons related to them, except for reimbursement of expenses paid out on behalf of the charity.

The Dugit Fund supports the charity in Tel Aviv, focused on promoting the Messianic faith and providing food distribution to help those in poverty and lowincome situations.
The total amount of £35,017 transferred from the Dugit fund is in respect of agreed charges made by the charity to Dugit for administering aspects of their support services.
The Agape Fund supports a local congregation in Tel Aviv, promoting the Messianic faith and good relations between Israelis and Christians.
The Helping Hand Coalition Fund was established to support the humanitarian assistance being given to Holocaust Survivors in Israel from their base in Caesarea.
The House of Prayer and Exploits Fund assists the charity in Nazareth with its work in fostering good relationships between Arab and Jewish faith communities, particularly through conferences and gatherings, alongside promotion of the Christian faith.
The Dor Haba Fund is a project run by the charity Nations Standing with Israel, based in Jerusalem, facilitating reconciliation and good relationship between Jewish and Arab young people through camps and workshops around the country.
The Lech L’cha Fund relates to the charity in Ramat Gan, advancing the Messianic faith through residential educational programs on site.
The Wycliffe Fund was set up to support an Israeli volunteer through their UK-based charity which facilitates the translation of the Bible into other languages.
The Hands On Fund was created to facilitate practical ‘hands-on’ teams visiting the ministries we support in Israel, to assist and learn first- hand about the projects and organisations who run them.
