The Trustees have pleasure in submitting the Report and Accounts for the year.
## **Objects of the charity**
Your People My People (also known as YPMP) was established on 31[st] December 2010 under Deed of Trust.
The management of the Charity is the responsibility of the trustees who are elected under the terms of the Trust Deed. Potential trustees are provided with all the relevant guides from the charity commission before appointment. The trustees during 2021 were:

Your People My People is a Christian Charity established with the main objectives of promoting the Gospel, and relieving financial hardship and suffering in Israel, UK, and elsewhere. We also aim to educate the Church and the public about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith including an awareness of the history and culture of Israel.
## **Review of Activities**
This has been our eleventh year of operation. Throughout the term we were able to raise funds and give grants both to organisations and individuals in Israel who are sharing the Christian message in their local context, working across cultural differences to bring unity and understanding in the Christian community and beyond, and also to those who are working to relieve poverty and hardship. We have also taught and shared on the Jewish roots of the Christian faith through publications, blogs, emails and social media.
We regularly connect with the leaders of the Israel-based Christian and Messianic organisations that receive grants, through WhatsApp, emails, newsletters, in order to foster relationships between YPMP and the organisations we support and to receive reports and updates on their respective projects. Our usual personal visits have not happened this year due to the complications of Covid 19 on travel overseas.
Grants to individuals and organisations are at the discretion of the trustees. A large percentage of grants come from restricted funds. The grants to individuals are made to people in full-time or part-time Christian service. Grants to organisations are made to groups promoting the Christian message, working to relieve poverty, hardship, sickness and distress.
## Promoting the Gospel
This year we have supported individuals and organisations in Israel who are working with and mentoring Arab and Jewish followers of Jesus, promoting the Christian faith in their local, cultural context, and who are sharing the love of God through practical aid and helps.
## Relief of poverty and suffering
We have given to needy causes in Israel via organisations we know and trust. These are giving practical assistance and emotional support to Holocaust survivors, poor families, new immigrants, the elderly, widows and single parent families.
## Education
We continue to regularly publish articles and information relevant to the work of YPMP via our website, including educational articles about Israel and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, special projects and information on the organisations we support. We also continue to maintain pages on several social networking sites.

YPMP produces a bi-monthly teaching newsletter that we send out to individuals and church groups, communicating on a range of issues relevant to learning about Israel and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, and updates from the organisations we support. In addition to this, an electronic news update is emailed monthly.
Throughout 2021, the charity took steps (in line with government advice) to help contain the outbreak of COVID-19. This included the temporary suspension of all physical gatherings and overseas visits. YPMP has had to change some of its usual activities including speaking at churches around the country and running stands at conferences. Where possible the charity has moved to online forms of media.
Your People My People continues to build relationships and develop projects that further the objectives of the Trust. We have been encouraged to see how the various projects we have been supporting have adapted to the difficulties of serving the community during COVID-19 and have found new ways to reach out in COVID safe ways. We are grateful to God for the consistent giving from donors which has enabled us to make a difference on the ground, especially during this very difficult year globally. Our funds have been relatively unaffected by COVID-19 and as such we have been able to continue with all our commitments to the projects we are supporting. We look forward to more opportunities to support projects both in Israel and in the UK. The trustees are monitoring income and expenditure and, if it becomes necessary, will take measures to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the charity’s free reserves.
In planning the activities the Trustees have applied the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission.
## **Financial Review**
Receipts during the year were £130,005 (2020: £124,501) and payments were £112,263 (2020: £112,790) leaving a year end fund balance of £67,223 (2020: £49,480) of which £27,909 (2020: £25,237) is restricted as to its use.
## **Reserves Policy**
Due to the low cost base of the charity, and the level of funding that comes from administrating the project grants, a policy has been set of retaining general free reserves of £5,000. At the end of the year end the figure was £39,315 and the trustees will review the level of funds held and consider how these are best used.
The trustees have also agreed to hold a balance of at least £10,000 specifically for Dugit. At the year-end, the balance was £26,403.
## **Trustees' Responsibilities**
Charity law requires us as Trustees to prepare financial statements for each accounting year which record the receipts and payments of the charity for the year.
We are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011.
We also have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of the charity and to take reasonable steps to prevent fraud or any other irregularities.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Your People My People ('the charity') for the year ended 31 December 2021 on pages 5 to 8 following.
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the 2011 Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1 Accounting policies**
The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis and comprise a statement that shows the charity's receipts and payments, a statement that summarises the charity's assets and liabilities and related notes. The accountancy profession have determined that only accounts prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards present a 'true and fair' view and, as these receipts and payments accounts have not (and cannot) be prepared in accordance with accounting standards, these accounts do not present (and are not intended to present) a 'true and fair' view of the charity's financial activities and state of affairs.
General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity. Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the trustees for particular purposes. Restricted funds are donations which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors; they include donations received from appeals for specific activities or projects.

## **4 Transactions with related parties**
The charity has 2 employees, to whom the employment costs above refer.
Amanda Harris and Karen Gower, who are also Trustees, were each paid £18,348 (2020: £17,148) as employees of the Trust together with pension contributions of £1,468 (2020: £1,372) per employee, as allowed by the Governing Documents.
K Gower received direct reimbursement of travel expenses totalling £129 (2020: £1,630) and A Harris received £129 (2020: £829).
Other than direct travel reimbursements, no other amounts were paid or are payable to any trustee or to any person connected to them.
