Happy Endings Rescue (Charity No.. 1140628)
Trustees Report 2024- 2025
This year the Charity saw trs larBe5t intske of Dogs and Cats that it had seen for several years.
One of the most memorable was Birdy. A tiny Stray Yorkie cross dog, that had severe caTr￿r on her
face. An appeal was made to help Birdy with medical care and treatment. The ￿SpOnse was
overwhelming from our supporters but sailly Birth passed away withhn a few months of beirb8 at the
Rescue. At least there 15 some comfort in knowing that her last few months were pain free and
cared for.
In May, there was a first for the rescue with the intake of a Com Snake. This exotic snake was
successfvlly rehomed quickly.
In the late summer. the Charity carried out one of its largest M)ultry ￿scUe$ and over 60 young birds
vRre tsken in and all rehorned.
Towards the end of the year. it became exceptionally busy as there wa5 an influx of anima15 coming
into the center for rehoming. There were cats. doES lincludinE a litter of 6 Staffie pups?. a pair of
goats. guinea pigs and several rabbits that had been abandoned. After Carrying out a campaign via
social media. all of the animals were rehomed.
It was also a year of sadness, as the Charity lost Maudè. a 17yr old Pig that had been wFth the rescue
since the beginning. Maude was one of the long standing residents at the center and sadly she
passed away in lune.
Dottie & Dice, two miniature ponies We￿ retumed to the Charity after being rehomed for almost
Ioyrs. This is a remindèr of thè lon8 term support that the Charity offer5 It5 Adopters. By offering
this level of support, it in turn ensures that the welfare and care of the animals is at the forefront.
Fundr4lsln8 & Appeals
The Charity ¢ontinues to partner with Pets at Home as one of their main donation points. Receiving
much needed food, toys and bedding. This year the Charity received a Valentine5 Day Voucher from
Pets at Horne worth £5(Kl to spend in store.
With the large number of dogs and cat5 coming into the rescue this year, it was necessary to launch
bedding and cat food appeal. The appeal wa5 a huge succe55 With well over a I,OW pouches of
food and bundles of blankets being donated. We even received a large donation of Hay & Straw
from our local farmerlsupplier. so that many of the other animals didn't miss out.
Christmas fundraising success contFnues for the Charrty. from volunteers being present at Pets at
Home, to the donkeys being seen and petted in Faversham Market.
Our volunteer5 continue to suc￿sSFUllY run the FB online Aucknon. alongside the secondhand stall in
Faversham Market.

Rescues & Rehoming
It was a really busy 8nd successlulye8r in Yehoming animals. 408 animals entered the wscue
during th& period and 403were rehomed. This was assisted with 8 rehoming &ppeo1. via social
medi8, duringJ8nuary & Febru8ry'25 forthe rèhoming ot cats.
