The charity is a member church of the Bap118t Union of Great Britain and
its local division, the Central Baptist A880cialion.11 is affiliated lo the UK
Evangelical Alliance. 11 is also part of an inter- denominational "Christians
Across Wattord. group which co-ordinates lown-wide activitie8.
The Trustees meet on a monthly ba818 lo review and discu88 various
governance issues, e.g.: financial administration,. fa¢ilitie$ & property
managemènt,. Children's & youth work, Finance and Fa¢ililie$ teams,
accountable to the TfUStee8, also exist lo manage day-to-day a4)e¢t¥ of
these function8.
Chiklren's and Vulnerable Adu￿$ Safeguarding Representatives are Irel-
appointed annually at the Church AGM each November. Trustegs actively
undertake Safeguarding training lo maintain appropriate oversight.

Objectives and activities
The Charity is governed by an Approved Governing Document which
states that ils principal purpose is the advancement of the Christian faith
according to the principles of the Baptist denomination,. lo incIL￿e the
advan￿ment of education, community service and such other general
charitable purposes in such parts of the Unrted Kingdom and the wortd as
the chU￿h shall detemiine. The Church occupies premise5 which are
held by the Baptist Union Corporation Ltd, on Trusts whiGh are entirely
mpatible with the above object.

In order to achieve the principal objedive, whith is sel out above, the
hurch provides a variety of activities both lo its meMbe￿hIp and lo the
community generally. The aim is to show the love of Jesus Christ in both
word and deed and lo bring pèoplè into a closer relationship with Him as
living Lord.
Central to the work and witness of the church 18 the provi8ion of a regular
public seNiCe of Christian worship, taking place each Sunday moming al
10'.00am. A separate children's programme is provided during this
service. The church seeks to be a friendly and welcoming community,
where all are free to attend the$6 services.
We have also continued with allernalive 81yle church 88rvices these
include Breakfast Church and Jimmy s Cafe.. both are aimed at the local
community fof whom a "traditional. Sunday church service might not
app8al. Brgakfasl Church 18 a communal-ba8ed fom of church $8rvice
and Jimmy's Café is a café 8tyled 8eNice reaching out lo another section
of our local community.

The church runs a Toddler Group which meets in the Church Hall on
Friday mornings,, with the purpose of assisting the community and
demonstrating the love of Jesu5 Chnsl. The church runs a fortnighlly craft
group on Wednesday Evenings.
The church operates 8y$lem5 to ensure that all people working wrth
children and vulnerable adults arg appropriately vetted by the Disclosure
& Barring Service.
The church provides financial and prayer support for v8ri0us individuals
and organisations eng8ged in mission activities {including practical care
and relief project81 locally in Warford, elsewhere in the UK, and overseas.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achlevements ol the charlty
during the year
As a leadership team, we meet once a month, firstly lo consider the
programme of events, update us on financial matters, then consider any
facility matter$ and also respond to any ongoing matters.
Our church membership has remained stable at ￿e1ve member8 during
the year. The treasurer reported that total receipts for the year al £64.OK
with a small surplus of £4.1 K, this was primarily due lo improved receipts
from interest on general reserves.
Wo have continued lo erffJa98 wrth our mission partners during the year
to update us on their work. Wè keep under review our commitment to all
of our partners in light of their Gurrenl need. Also. we Gonlinue to make
one-off donations for specific needs.
We continue with our c108e r8lation8hip8 Wrth other churches in Wattord
to promote the Christian laith across our town.
Toddler Group, which meets on Friday momings. 18 a place where the
worfd comes into our ehurch weekl Many who eome along arè a long way
from their families across the world. The sessions are a buzz of activity,
with the opportunity to build r8lalion8hips. Following Jesus. example of
Coming to people, we are able to support people in Ihoir difficulties and
thus earn the right to move on lo mallers of faith. We can be Jesus,
visible presence lo people by serving them. Th8 mullicullural and
multilingual integration al Toddlers had been rgcognisad, described by
one attender a8 '1ike heaven on earth..
A6 mu¢h a$ possibl• routine maintenance and safely tasks on the
church, church hall and manse have continued throughout the year.
During this coming financial year, the amount and type of laci1ilies work
that will be undertaking will in6vitable bè influènced to a large degree by
emerging demands and the ongoing work ol ensure all properties are
maintained and Safe,
In addition lo activities fomially linked lo the church, vartous members
also served as volunleefs in other local charities ar￿ organisations, e.g.,
Allernalives Watford and New Hope Trust.
In May 2024, a local Fo¢xlbank needed lo ffjlocale rts operation and
approached the church lo see if they could base themselves once a week
for a popup vegetarian foodbank which caters lor up lo 300 clients on
non-voucher basis. This has proved to be a great success and has
widened its reach into the community and now OFerales in the name of
the church.

The church continues to raise funds which it needs to cary on ils
activities from within ils ¢)wn membership and congregation. 11 is not our
policy to raise funds via wider public appeal.
The most significant expenses are the salary of a Minister Ipart-timel,
who leads and co-ordinates the church's activities including the Sunday
Servicès Ind in mid-week.. lo provide pastoral care for the congregation
and other people,. and to equip and encourage the membership in their
lrfe, Christian witnes8, and service.
The church expressed ils part in the life of the wider church by making
donation¥ to local. national, and international Christian organisations and
Societies with aims and objectives compatible with the church's own
charitable purpose.
The church 18 heavily dependent on rt8 membgr8hip working as
volunteer8 in all aspects of the church's activities, many of which run with
little or no impad on the church's expenditure bul nov8rtheles8 contribute
subslanlially lo the achievement of the church's objective8.
