Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the maln achievements of the charity durlng thè year As a leadership team. we meet onr£ a month, firstly to consider the programme of events, upKJate us on financial matters, then Consider any facility matters and also respond to any ongoing matters. Our church membership has fallen from twenty members to eleven. The treasurer reported that total receipts for the year at £77.9K with a surplus of £32.6K, this was due to Iwo main rtems not included in our original budget. One was a one-off gfft of £20.OK re¢eived during the year and the other was the continuing vacant role of our minister. We have continued to engage with our mission partners during the year to update us on their work. We have also completed a review of our partners and seen fft to revise the list according to their current need. so. we continue to make ontroff donations for specrfic needs. We continue with our close relationships wrth other churches in Watford to promote the Christian fath across our town. Toddler Group, which meets on Friday momings, is a place where the wortd comes into our church weekl Many who come along are a long way from their families across the wodd. The sessions are a buzz of activity, with the opportunrty to build relationships. Following Jesus, example of coming to people, we are able to support people in their difficulties and thus eam the right to move on to matters of faith. We can be Jesus, visible presence to people by serving them. The multicultural and multilingual integration at Toddlers had been re¢¢>3nised, des¢rtbed by one attender as.like heaven on earth.. In tems of our facilities the main item to report for the past year is as follows.. The membership took the decision to Continue lo refurbish the Manse (official residen￿ of our Minister- the position currently being vacant). To ensure rt was in a suitable state for a new minister or to be rented out during the year. As much as possible routs'ne maintenance tasks on both'the church and church hall have conts'nued throughout the year. During this coming financial year, the amount and type of facilities work that will be undertaking will inevrtable be influenced to a large degree by whether a new minister is appointed. In addtiion to activities fomally linked to the church. various members also served as volunteers in other local charities and organisations, e.g., Altematives Watford and New Hope Trust. TAR March 2012

Section E Financial review Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves The church aims to maintain SLrfficient reserves to enable us to meel our essential expenses for at least six months, together with consideration over any ongoing pension deficit liabiltties, large scale facilities items, together with a general contirKJency fund for unseen expenditure. The GhurGh continues to raise funds which it needs to carry on its activities from wrthin rts own membership and congregation. It is not our policy to rais8 funds via wider public appeal. The most signfficant expenses are the salary of a Minister (office currently vacant). who leads and co-ordinates the church's activities including the Sunday Services and in mid-week., to provide pastoral care for the Gongregation and other people,. and to equip and encourage the membership in their lrfe, Christian witness and seNi¢e. The church expressed rts part in the life of th8 wider church by making donations to local, national and intemational Christian organisations and societies wrth aims and objectives compalible with the church's own chantable purpose. The ¢hur¢h is heavily dependent on its membership working as volunteers in all aspects of the church's activitiès, many of which run with lrttle or no impact on the church's expenditure, but nevertheless contribute subslantially to the achievement of the church's objectives.
