In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.

To ensure that the projects the Alexandra Wylie Tower Foundation (AWTF) fund are targeted and delivered in a way that will really make a difference, we worked in partnership with representatives of the local community to support vulnerable families in North London. We partnered with local charities and organisations including local food chains for supply of vegetables and bread to operate a local food bank.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

There continues to be an increasing demand for the provision of the basic needs of food and clothing that vulnerable children and adults lack and so the food bank activities in N.London continues to be the main focus although with more emphasis on delivery to families who are house bound. We have also continued to fund projects for children who have a passion for or ability in a certain area, require extra tuition or need a break from very challenging home circumstances.
