2025, prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and the charity's governing
document.
Objects and Public Benefit
The charity's object is to provide affordable. high-quality early years education and
childcare for children aged 2-4 years in Scunthorpe. an area ot significant social and
economic deprivation. The trustees have had due regard to Charity Commission
guidance on public benefit. The charity delivers public benefit by providing funded early
education places. inclusive eariyyears provision. and enabling parents and carers to
access employment. education and training.
Activities and ImpaGt
Duringthe year, the nursery provided early years education and chIldCa￿ to up to 60-70
children aged 24 years. Provision focused on inclusive practice. early identif ication of
additional needs. and partnership workingwith families and external professionals.
These activities directly further the charity's objects and benefit children and families in
the local community.
Financial Review
Income for the yearwas under £250.000 and derived primarily from childcare fees and
government-funcled early education entitlements. Expenditure related mainlyto
staff ing, premises and operating costs. Anysurplus was retained and reinvested to
support the charity's Sustainability.

Cost of Living and COVID-19 Impact:
Ongoing cost of living pressures and the longer-term impact of COVID-19 increased
demand for funded places and inclusive support. particularly among disadvantaged
families.
Re$erve$. Policy
The trustees maintain modest reserves to meet short-term operational needs and
manage unforeseen financial risks. Governance and Management The charity is
governed by a voluntary management committee. Day-to-day operations are managed
bythe Nursery Manager. who reports to the trustees.
Plans for the Future
The trustees will continue to maintain high-quality provision while supporting
disadvantaged families and ensuring financial sustainability.

charity (Ihe Trust") for the year ended

basis of report
As the charity's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordan￿ with the requirerrEnts of the Chanties Act 2011
(llhe Acr).
I reFKIrt in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 14S ofthe 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145{5){b) of the Act.
