Objacts and Public Benefit
The charity's object is to provide 8ffordable, high-quality early ye8rs education and
childcare for children aged 2-4 years in Scunthorpe, 8n area of signif icant social and
economic deprivation. The trustees have had due reg8rd to Charity Commission
guid8nce on public benef it. The charity delivers publlc benef it by providing funded early
educ8tion places, inclusive e8rly years provision, and enabling p8rents and carers to
access employment, education and training.
Activities and Impact
Duringthe year, the nursery provided earlyyears education and childcare to up to 60-70
cnlldren aEed 2-4 years. Provlsion focused on inclusive practlce, early Identlflcatlon of
additlonal needs. and partnership working with families and extern81 professionals.
These activities directly further the charity's objects and benefit children and lamilies in
the local community.
FinanGial Review
Income forthe yearwas under £250,000 and derived primarily from childcare fees and
government-funded earlyeducation entitlements. Expenditure re18ted mainlyto
staff ing, premises and operating costs. Any surplus was retained and reinvested to
supportthe charity's 5U$tainability.

Cost of Livingand COVID-19 Impact:
Ongoingcost of living pressures and the longer-term impact of COVID-19 increased
demand forfunded places and inclusive support. particularly among disa¢Jvantaged
families.
Reserve8 Pollcy
The trustees maintain modest reserves to meet short-term operational needs and
manage unforeseen financial risks. Govern8nce and Man8gementThe charity is
governed by a voluntary management committee. Day-to-day operations are m8naged
bythe Nursery Manager, who reports to the trustees.

The trustees wlll contlnue to maintain high-quality provision while supporting
disadvantaged families and ensuring f inancial sustainability.
