The church officers, trustees, meet on a monthly basis to discuss matters of the organisation. Members meet for an annual general meeting, plus additional quarterly meetings.

The AGM is held each year, and was opened up to regular church attenders where a summary of all church ministries are presented, along with other practical matters. As a congregation the church seeks the mind of Christ together, and those eligible to vote plays their part in determining the direction of the Trust.

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

  1. To advance the Christian religion for the benefit of the public, in accordance with the statements of belief in the schedule.

  2. To provide relief of financial hardship among people living or working worldwide through the provision of relief, goods or finances.

  3. To advance in life and help young people through; a) recreational activities in the interest of social welfare; b) providing support and activities which develop skills, capacities and capabilities. 4. To promote the provision of facilities for the inhabitants of Leeds and surrounding areas, who may have a variety of needs, in the interest of social welfare and to improve their condition of life.

The membership and trustees consider carefully how the church activities and aims are in the benefit of the public in its activities both for those who are in attendance at the church, but also its wider impact on the local community. The main activities undertaken by the charity that fulfil the objectives are as follows: The church met in person to develop a deeper understanding of the Christian faith, along with an opportunity for social and support opportunities. at the heart of the ministry. It’s also a great opportunity when people come together, create friendships, and can enjoy times of fun together.

The bi-weekly children support groups continued on Friday nights in the form of 3 age groups. Jam, and Youth has seen new children attend with some older ones move onto other things discussion and fellowship groups within the church. These are a great social activity with a Christian message offered at each.

A group for older young people commenced, which involved getting together for a time of food and discussion, and other social activity, which is highly beneficial for those who attend in support, and teaching.

The church ran its summer children’s work, called Epic Explorers, which involved inviting children from the local community to come and enjoy fun and games, singing, craft and learn bible stories. A good number of churched and non-churched people attended and benefited.

The church hosted its annual bonfire night, with a great firework display, for its members and congregation, opened up for friends of those connected to the church to attend. It was a great opportunity for free refreshment, fellowship and enjoyment.

The charity continued to respond to the needs of those around who were in need of support both prayer, financial and practical throughout the year of the pandemic.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended31/01/2024.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
