As the history National Curriculum does not teach the full importance of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade on Britain and Africa. Memorial 2007 mindful of its educational role plans to institute an annual memorial lecture beginning in 2016. This will advance the understanding and knowledge of the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade and its repercussions on Africa and the Africa Diaspora.
Objects: 1) To Advance The Education Of The Public In The History Of The Britishparliamentary Abolition Of The Slave Trade In 1807 And, In Particular,european, American And African History Relevant To The Slave Trade Andits British Parliamentary Abolition2) To Promote Good Citizenship By The Provision And Maintenance Of Amemorial To The British Parliamentary Abolition Of The Slave Trade In1807.
