SB Foundation operates as a charitable 

trust governed by its founding constitution. Trustees are appointed through 

mutual agreement and take responsibility for strategic planning, financial 

oversight, and ensuring the charity ’ s objectives are met. Regular meetings are 

held to discuss operations and accountability.

- To provide charitable contributions across the world wherever needed, with 

particular attention to Cambridgeshire. 

- To advance the faith and religious practices of Islam. 

- To promote education for the public benefit with regard to Islamic teachings. 

- To relieve poverty, sickness, distress, and suffering of individuals in need, 

regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or religion. 

## **Public Benefit Statement:** 

The trustees confirm that they have complied with the guidance on public benefit 

issued by the Charity Commission and have kept this in mind when planning the 

charity ’ s activities. 

## **4. Achievements and Performance** 

SB Foundation continued to implement and 

– expand its core projects in 2024 2025, impacting lives in both Pakistan and the 

UK. 

## **Key Projects in Pakistan:** 

- Shah-e-Jamaat Education Complex (SJEC): SB Foundation fully oversees this 

school in Lalamusa, District Gujrat. The school offers free religious and 

academic education, free accommodation, daily meals, and support for students 

from disadvantaged backgrounds. SB Foundation covers monthly operational costs including staff salaries, food, clothing, medical needs, and building

maintenance. 

- 10 students memorised the Qur ’ an 

- 1 student completed a Master ’ s in 

Islamic and Arabic Studies fully funded by the charity 

## - **Food and Welfare Programs:** 

- Monthly Food Packs: Delivered to 

deserving families in Pakistan 

## - Ramadhan Programmes: Distributed 

cooked Suhoor and Iftar meals 

- Zakat Distribution: Provided cash 

support after careful assessment 

## - Qurbani Project: Over 1,000kg of meat 

distributed during Eid al-Adha 

- Marriage Support: Financial 

assistance for 15 households to help with daughters ’ weddings 

- Medical Support: Financial help for 

families dealing with illness

The charity remains financially stable, although increased living costs have

made fundraising more challenging. Nevertheless, our generous supporters 

stepped forward, enabling our projects to continue without interruption. 

## **6. Risk Management** 

Trustees have evaluated the main risks 

facing the charity, including donor fatigue, inflation-related increases in 

project costs, and safeguarding. The board ensures appropriate measures are in 

place to manage these risks effectively. 

## **7. Future Plans** 

In the upcoming year, SB Foundation aims 

to: 

- Expand capacity at Shah-e-Jamaat Education Complex 

- Increase food pack distribution during Ramadhan 

- Strengthen its UK-based educational offerings for children and women 

- Enhance donor engagement through digital platforms 

## - Begin small-scale medical aid campaigns for vulnerable communities **8. Declaration**

## **1 Accounting Policies** 

## **1.1 Accounting Policies** 

The principal accounting policies adopted by the Charity, which is a public benefit entity, in the preparation of the accounts are as follows. 

## **1.2 Basis of preparation** 

These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention, as modified by the inclusion of charitable properties and fixed asset investments and investment properties at valuation. 

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with “Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102 )” ( effective 1 January 2019) - (Charities SORP (FRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011. 

These accounts are presented in pounds sterling and rounded to the nearest pound. 

## **1.3 Going concern** 

The Trustees have prepared financial projections, taking into consideration the current economic conditions and have, at the time of approving these accounts, a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus they continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the accounts.
