law, logelher ￿th case law specifically in debl and welfare benefits. The charity also provides specialist domestic
abuse support. The seTvice is provKled face to face. by lelephone or by ema￿.

Once again. throughout 2024-25 the Charity has met al of rts o)ntractual obligalions and achreved all perfomiance
related outcomes. in terms of cases de*t during the year.
During the financial year 2024125 we assisted 2132 d*nts. Often a client presented with mow than one i$$ug and
some cltents sought advice on several separate occasions. kndingty, dur1￿ the year advi￿ was pfovKled on
7116 individual issues.
We p8rti¢ipale in the Customer Service Inth"ative opèrattd nationalty by Citrzens Adviee. That survey revoals that
91% Sa￿ that thèy would be likely or very likely to recommend our servir2 lo family or friends.
The national Performance Quak'ty Framework is emptoyed to ensure gLJality of advirE. rJJ5tomer sati5factKJn and
effective leadership. Citizens Advice Fylde holds the AQS {Advice Quality Standard) mark and is the￿fOre subieot to
Management. Finance and Com￿lanCe Audit every 3 years. A Leadership SelfAssessment Process undertaken in
January 2024 confirmed thai Citizens Advice Fykje met the wu¥ed standard in all aspects of govemance.

ReseThes polKy
The Reserves Pdicy is to maintain a general reserve and a maintenance and devek)pment reserve. The purpose of
the General Reserve is to cover periods of financial diffKulty and to provide suffiaenl funds for a smoolh wind-up of
the company should this ever ￿ neceswy in the event of a mairx fvnder wthdrawing support. This is currently set
at £68.109.
The purpose of the Maintenar￿ and development reserve is to ensure conservation and adaptation of current
services and development of new seryices to meet challenging exlemal factors.
Maiorrisks
The Truslees have assessed the major risks to which Ihe charty is exposed. arml are salisfied that systems are in
pla￿ to mitigate exposure to the map)r risks.
Structure. governan¢e and management
The Truslees meet at least fow Iwnes per year plus the Annual General Meeling.
Trust8es, who arn also Directors of the company. are appointed in accordance wth the Articl8$ of Associats'on of the
Charity.
. The Trustees Board plays a cnjual Tole in gmng the strategic threction and vision for the charity. The Trustee Board
oversees the finances and is responsib￿ for ensuring the viability of the Charity. as well as managing risks and
ensurirwj effective operation. Being a Trustee is a voluntary role and they receive no remuneration.

The day-l￿aY management of the charity is carried out by the Chief EXe￿tive, Natslie Traynor. assisted by an
Advice Seryice Manager. Advice Service Supervisors and an Administrator. The charity's services are carried out by
paid members of staff as well as volvntews who generously give their b.me without any finan¢ial remuneration. Ml
staff and volunteers undertake a ¢ompfehensNe training programme before being c￿rtified to give advice. and
receive regular refresher trainirrfj as appropriate_
The charity is a company lirnited by guarantee and does not have a share c8iNlal.

Financial instruments are rewnised in the charitys balance sheet when the Charity bècomes paty to the
contractual provisions of the instrumenl.
