Section D Achievements and performance 1. The Charity's a¢trvities in 2022 were exclusively to make grants to Butoke. a non-govemmental organisation in the Democratic Republic ofthe Congo ("DRC"). Summary of the maln achievements of the charity during the year 2. Butoke operates in the Westem Kasai region of the DRC. The Westem Kasai lacks infrastructure: metalled roads are few and far befv4een and state wn educational and health facilities are of poor qualty andlor not accessible to those living in poverty. 3. BLrtoke has a particular interest in the rights of women and girls who are often marginalised by society and treated as having fewer rights than men and boys. 4. Against this backdrop the main achievements of the Charity this year have been to part fund educational and health facilities which are accessible to even the poorest residents of the area in which Butoke operates and also to part fund a project to assist the victims of rape - the °Elsa Corp Justice Project.. 5. As in the previous year, the Justice Project has worked with number of impovenshed rape victims. It has provided them with the necessary legal and medical assistance, and has also assisted them with dothing, food and. where necessary, relocation. TAR Marth 2012

I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31[st] December 2022.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s financial statements carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
