**Treasurers Report** **Accounts 1.4.24 – 31.3.25** The Group’s financial position has improved in the period and remains in a very strong position. In the year income outstripped income by £8,402.70. |Income|£29,049.84| |---|---| |Expenditure|£20,647.14| The Group now has a surplus of £27,624.73 although with uncashed cheques the Bank Statement at 31.3.25 shows £27,744.87 (a difference of £120.14). In the period we continue to receive the vast majority of our income through direct transfers or through Go Cardless to avoid dealing in cash. We also have two Sum Up card machines so we can take electronic payments at our fundraising events – although the only event held this year was a table top sale so income via this route was nominal this year. All cheques require two signatures (Treasurer and Secretary) and we do not use any on-line or telephone banking to avoid any chance of error / fraud. Whilst our Bank allows it we are going to remain robust on keeping this process in place. From the Spring Term 2024 the Executive Committee agreed to increase our Subs to £40 per term as the national Capitation had increased considerably and it was felt that, even with the increase, we were offering fantastic value for money.
