Description of the charity’s trusts
The Chillag Family Charitable Trust was set up in 2011. The Trust Type of governing document was registered with the Charity Commission in January 2011. The (eg. trust deed, constitution) Governing Document is a Trust deed, submitted to the Charity Commission in November 2010. Family Charitable Trust How the charity is constituted (eg. trust, association, company) Trustee selection methods The Trustees are all members of the Chillag family, who administer (eg. appointed by, elected by) and operate the Chillag Family Charitable Trust. The lead Trustee is Laurence Chillag.

You may choose to include The Trust's income derives from annual share dividends, from additional information, where relevant, about: formerly family owned shares, which are now held in the name of this Trust. The Trust's aim is to donate the income derived from these policies and procedures dividends, to various registered charities, in accordance with the adopted for the induction and wishes and preferences of the Trustees.

The Trustees are family members, who have agreed upon the types of charities to which they would like to donate. The amounts to be allocated to each charity will vary according to the income available that year and the preferences of trustees. The Trust does not undertake any fund raising or other activities and does not have any additional costs. No money is paid from the Trust's income other than to the chosen charities. There continues to be no staffing or running costs, for our charitable Trust.

The purpose of the Trust is to make donations to charities and charitable organisations, as the Trustees see fit. The objects of the Trust are to further such objects or purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales in any part of the world and in such manner as the Trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit. The donations are usually given on an “unrestricted” basis so that the recipient charity is able to use our donation in whatever way each charity feels it can be best used. If required, the Trust can also donate to specific projects. |

| The Trust received an income from share dividend, in July 2021. There was an additional donation to the Trust in January 2022 from the Will of a former Trustee. Donations were made to 34 registered charities during 2021 - 2022. Charities supported by our trust included those dealing with - Overseas development and need (tackling disease, access to water, education, women's/ girls rights, child poverty, etc.); Mental Health and family support issues; Disability; Medical; Homelessness; Women's Aid; Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Holocaust Education and Victims of Torture. These charities included those working in the solely in the UK, as well as some involved in providing aid to some countries abroad. Most beneficiary charities were selected because of existing particular interests and concerns of the Trustees. A full list of the charities supported in 2021-22 is given below and in the Trust's annual accounts. The Trustees are satisfied that the operation of our Family Charitable Trust fully meets their objectives with regard to The Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. |

Our trust receives many funding requests from a variety of different charities and organisations. Many of these are received through the post but some also come via email. These requests are looked at by the Trustees and some, which met our preferences and interests, have received donations in the past. Predominantly, charities which are known to the Trustees, or which were supported by family members before the Charitable Trust began,have received regular donations. Preference has been given to charities from the categories stated above. In future, we will continue to give mainly to charities on our database of existing Charities and potential recipients . We would prefer other charities who have not received funding from us previously, not to apply to us directly, since it is very unlikely that they will receive donations from the Chillag Family Charitable Trust. |

The Chillag Family Trust has continued to meet its aim of donating its Summary of the main annual income to specified charities in accordance to the wishes of achievements of the charity its trustees. during the year The Chillag Family Trust received dividend income of £215,166 for reporting period: 06/04/2021 - 05/04/2022. At the end of the reporting period, the Charitable Trust held a balance of £960 in its current account.
A total of £215,500 was donated to 34 charities during the year to April 2022.
The following charities received donations amounts of between £1,000 - £15,000 (The amounts given to each charity are specified in the Annual Accounts which accompany this report):

Respective responsibilities The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The of trustees and examiner charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
