**Objects:** TO ADVANCE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, EDUCATION, LEARNING AND RESEARCH, IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING BY ESTABLISHING, MAINTAINING, CARRYING ON, MANAGING AND DEVELOPING OF A RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR THE THEORETICAL SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS.

**Activities:** LIMS invites its scientists to participate in high-risk, high-payoff research in fundamental, difficult or emerging branches of science. In addition to its full-time members, LIMS at present also offers part-time employment to scientists. Through the provision of funds and a suitable working environment, LIMS scientists regularly publish papers in the world's leading research journals.
