The trustees present their report and financial statements for th6 year ended 31 December 2023
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the accounts and
comply wilh the charity's governing documents, the Charities Act 2011 and the Statement of Recommended Practice,
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005.
Objectlves and activities
As a charity we aim lo support young people from vulnerable backgrounds. That can include living in a care home, foster
home. disadvantaged or abusive homes. These young people often present with mental health issues. ASD, ADHD or
severe anxiety disorders. We also support youn9 people with physical disabilities. Our aim is help improve social skills,
independence. sew esteem, empathy for others and help them see a clearer path for their futures. We do this using our
horses as Iherapy. They learn social skills. team working. responsibility as well as leaming lo care and ride the horses. In
addition we assisl wllh college applications, work experience placements and job interview5
The Trustees have pald due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission In deciding what activities the charlty
should undertake.
Achlevements and perfomiance
The arrival new horse8 and goats - Arfur, Chester, Dusty, Prlnny. Sklthes. Maverick, Orbit, Ouie, Marley, Tulip,
Daffodil & Spot.
The rainbow bridge took our bdoved - Bob, Taylor, Raisin, Adam, Ollle. Trevor & Malcom.
Esme visited us with Casper and then again for our Christmas paty with M￿key. She also kindly donated funds
from the sale of her horse box for us to purchase a newjump and a defibrillator.
Mark has run numerous team dinics and games.
Our Cross Country Course was built.
We ran Clear Round events as fundralsers.
Ruby Fryer ran 3 showiumping clinlcs.
Hosted 5 shows at the farm alongside SMP Events and Colette's Shows.
Brachers chose us as their Charity Partner of the Year.
&Jpported several schools and colleges with work experience placements.
We had students work towards th8 Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
Lillico sUPPOrted us wth the purchase of new riding hats and some leading attachments.
We won Disadvantage Youth Equine Experience Charity of the Year 2023- South East England I￿￿1S￿l0n

It is the policy of the Charity that unrestricted fund5 which have not been despjnated for a specific use should be
maintained al a level equivalent lo between three and Six months expenditur8. The Trustees consider that reserves at this
level will ensure that, in the event of a Significant drop in funding. they will be abl8 lo continue the charity's current
activities while consideration is given to ways in which addilional funds may be raised. This level of reserves has been
maintained throughout th8 year.
The unrestricted funds represent income received bul not yet utilised in supporting Charity actIv￿leS. At 31st December
2023 the charity held £49,966.5612022'. £34,306) at the bank and the Trustees consider this to be approprSate lo ￿loW
them to reswnd prompuy to requ8sts for financial support.
The Trustees have assessed the major risks lo which the charity is exposed arn1 are satisfied that the systems are in
place to mitigate exposure lo the major risks.
Team Tutsham's door is open to children from a variety of backgrounds predominantty aimed 21 provlding disadvantaged
and vulnerable children with t￿ opportunity lo learn lo ride horses ané socialise with children of varying ages and
backgrounds. We endeavour lo be available for all thildren who would Ilke to use our facilities.
We believe that by Nv(wking with horses al Team Tutsham Charitable Trust. children get a great opportunity lo develop
variety of skills such as:

There is a18rge footfall of people who visit Team Tutsham from parents and carers, to locd riding clubs and equestrian
professtonals who hire the facilities for running shows and holding clinics.
Team Tulsham has a fantastic reputation for ils idyllic s&tting and relaxed aimosphere which helps people from all
backgrourKls rdax, feel safe and enjoy the environment.

The charity was set up by Maxine Buckby and was registered with effect from 1 July 2010. The tharity is administer8d in
accordance with the terms of the governing documents.

1.1. Accountlng conventlon
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document), the Charities Act
2011 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and republic of
Ir8land { FRS1021" (as amended for accounting periods commencing from 1 January 20161. The Charity is a publ
Benefit Entity as defines by FRS102.
The Charity has taken advantage of the provisions in thg SORP for charities apptying FRS 102 Update Bulletln 1 not
to prepare a Statement of Cash Fk)ws.
The flnancial statements have departed from Ihe Charilw (AGc4Junts and Reports} Regulations 2008 only to the
extent required io provide a true and fair view. This departurg has involved following the Statement of RecommeThJed
Practice for Charities apply FRS102 rather than the version of the Statement of Recommended Practice which is
referred lo In the Regulats'ons but which ha$ since been withdrawn.
The fina￿la1 statement5 are prepared in slerliro. wh￿h is the functional currency of the charity. Monetary amounts in
these financial statements a￿ rounded to the nearest £.
The financial statements have been prepared under historical cost convention, modified lo include the revaluatK)n of
freehold properties and lo include inveslmenl properlies and tertain ffinancial instruments at fair value. The pri￿1paI
accounting policies adopted are sel out below.
1.2. Charltablg funds
Unrestricted funds available for use at the discrelbon of the trustees in furtherance of their charitable objectives unless
the fund have been designated for other purposes.
Restricted funds are subject to specrfic conditions by donors as lo how they may be used. The purposes and useg of
the restricted funds are sel out in the notes to the financial slatements.
Endowment funds are Subject lo specific conditions by donors that the capital must be maintained by the charty.

Cash donations are recogni$ed on receipt. Other donations are reccgnlsed once the charity has been notrfied of the
donation, unless performance ¢onditions required deferral of the amount. Income tax recoverable in relation to
donations rgceived under Gift Aid or deeds of Govenanl is recognised at the Ilme of the donation.
Legacies are recognised on ￿CeIpt or otherwise if the charity has been nolified of an impending distributions, the
amount is known, and re￿ip1S is expected. If the amounts is not known. the legacy is treated as a contingent assets.
Revenve is measured al the fair value of the consideration received or re￿1vable ané represents amounts receivable
for goods and services provided in th8 normal course of business. nel of discounts, VAT and other sales related taxes.

The charity has elected to apply the provisions of SeclK)n 11 'Basic Financial Instruments. and Sect50￿ 12 '0ther
Fina￿la1 Instruments issues. of FRS 102 to all of its financial instruments
Fina￿la1 instruments are recognised in the charity's balance sheet when the charity becomes party to the ￿ntraCtual
provislons of the instrument.
Financlal assets and liabilities are offset, with the nel amounts presented in the financial slatemenls. when there is a
Iggally enforceable right lo sel off the recognised amounts and there 15 an inleption lo settle on a net basis or to
realise the assel and seltle the liability simultaneously.
Baslc financial assets
Basic financial assets, whtch include trade and other receivables and cash and bank balances, are inltialty measured
at tfansaclion price in¢luding transaction costs and are subsequently carried al amortised c05t using the effective
interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction. where the transaction is measured al the
present value of the fvlure receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial assets classtfied as receivable
within one year are not amortised.

Basic financial liabilities. including trade and other payables and bank loan are initially recognised at transaction prl¢e
unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction. where the debt instruments is measured al the present
