INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF SOUTH HOLLAND PARISH VOLUNTARY CAR SERVICE I reportto the charitytrustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity forthe year ended 31 March 2026. Responsibilities and basis of the report As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of Ihe Charities Act 20111'the Act'l. I repon in respect of my examination ol the chariiy's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given bythe Charity Commission under section 145 15llbl ol the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me caLJSelo believe that in any material respect= accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 386 01 the Act., 21 the accounts do noi accord with those records., or 31 the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements ol section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirementthat the accounts give a'true and fair, view which is not a matter considered as part ol an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in orderto enable a proper understanding of the accounls to be reached. SHPVCS TRUSTEES REPORT 2025 – 2026
The South Holland Parish Voluntary Car Service continues to provide low cost transport, primarily for health and medical appointments, within the South Holland District of Lincolnshire.
We have a Service Level Agreement with South Holland District Council covering numerous parishes in the South Holland District of Lincolnshire. Each member parish contributes an annual precept payment enabling the Charity to subsidise the cost of the voluntary transport provided.
The demand for the service continues to increase. During the financial year April 2025 to March 2026 a total of 5349 journeys were made taking people to hospitals and other health care facilities. Our 46 Volunteer Drivers travelled 164,687 miles.
As our running costs increase we continue to look at opportunities to attract grant funding and more volunteer drivers to ensure we can meet the increased demand for the services we offer.
We thank our volunteers immensely for the ongoing support in ensuring the Charity meets its objectives and works within its financial constraints. We value the trust and respect placed in the Charity by people using the service offered.
