There were 135 members ofthe Church Electoral Roll at the end of December 2021. Average Sunday attendance
in October 2021 was 72. Collective Worship for Trinity St Marfs CofE Prlmary School took place every Thur5dav
In term-tlme frorn March when covld restrictions a83ln lifted.. Other serylces, induding baptlsrn. weddings, and
funerals, were conducted in the church when permitted and in keepin8 With government rules on restrirted
attendance.

The Incumbent, Revd Dr Robert Tobln leftlnAu8USt 2021. Ourcurate, Re¥d Bernl Excell has covered the malorlty
of incumbent responslbllftles sln¢e departure workin8 closely wrth the warden5 and Standlng
committeelPCC. At the tlme of wrkfin8 this report a whole parish rev6ew is undenway as tO8ether we undertake
the Pfocess of seeking a ftew incumbent.
Unsurprisin8ly, the church's rnlssion and minlstry have continued to be Impacted on bythe effects of the COVID
pandemic and the accompanying lo¢kdowns. However the Impact has not bÈen wholly ne￿tiVe and sorne of
the key Inltlatlve$ Identlfled by the Mi55ion Actlon Plan. such as maklngthe church bulldlng more wèlcomln8 and
accesslble. 8r¢)wln8 Ilnks and partnerships across our ne6ght￿￿ood. 8rowln8 our mlnlstry to children arKI
dmllies. and nurturlng and deepenlng In our spiritual 8rovrth have found space to flouTi5h in unexpected ways.
Whilst the overall mlsslon and ministry of the thurch has manrfested In perhap5 softer outcomes than those
reflected in attendance numbers pèr SÈ they a￿ nonetheless valued as signs of Hope. Particlpation in-person
worship has remained healthy and conslsterrt. and maintaining zoom acce55 to weekday services has been
wèlcomed and ensured a daily presence for prayer and Worship sustained by lay and der8y.. Sustaining
engagement wth chlldren and families has proved difficu￿ loutslde of our relationship wth our church school
whlch has flourlshedl however those who have remalned or joined over the year are actively Invofvèd and
contlnuing to seek baptism and conflmiatlon and taking a fvll role in our Sunday worshlp. The clerEV have
sustained contact with members of the community by phone. email and homè visits and there has continued to

Unrestrfrted income decreased in 2021 to £125k12020.. £128kl largely due to continued vacancies in room
lettin8s as a result of Covid-19 restrirtions. Unrestrirted expenditure decreased to £132k12020.. £162kl, mainly
as a result of the purchase of the organ in the prloryear bein8 morethan the lunrestricted portion of the) repair
of the tarmac £llk In the current year, leavln8 an unrestrfcted defftclt of £8k.

The PCC has cOn￿dered the Charfty Commisslon's guklance on publlc benefit. Working cooperatlvely wlth the
derBy and other members ofthe congregation, ft strives to enable all peop￿ to Ilve out their faith as P•rt of our
parish ¢ommunlty. This mean5 farrlltatin8 OPPOrtunrlies for worship, prayer, and study. as well as encouraging
service to and care for member5 ofthe wider communty ofwhith we are a parL

The Church bulldin8 was malnly closed to lettSngs and other in person events until mid-march, due to Covid-19
restrfctions. Followlnl on from last year we have struggled to plck up regular new lets and are stlll sufferln8 from
the loss of a 518nificanl number Indudin8 the UnSted Church of the Messiah, the South London Refu8ee
Assoclatlon and Language Webwhose buslnesses or havefolded orstru￿led to adjusL Perforn) Drama
and threeother8roupstar8etin8youngchiklren/parents now make up our re8ular5ets and we wèlcome birthday
parties and other ad hoc bookin8s. Emerging and sustained growth in partnerships across the eco and justice
agèndas with ￿her faith and community groups are all helpirrfd bulld the vlsual presence and confidence in the
Chufch writhin and across our community.. A number of our partnefships indude the sharing of our space with
those unable to afford rent but In and of themselves fft with our charstsble aims and we are keen to support e8
Wandsworth Welcome Refvgees. a Iledgllng OT8anlzatfion whlch has 8rown up In response to the influx of
refugees in Wand5WOrth and Place 2 Be who work with local schools to provide early Intervention and
preverbtion with children and familles. the schtr)l expandln8 thelr support to famllles through ¢offee mornln8S
and a lunchtlme club for the thildfen.

The PCC has appolnted two Safeguarding officers to ensure full attentlon Is paid to the 5afe8uardlng of childrert
and vulnerable adults whilst in the building and attending events and serNw. Thls is a key practice to mlnimize
the r15ks Identlfled in the risk revlew conducted by the Churchwardens.
Health and Safety rlsk assessments were condurted during the full and partlal lockdowns to ensure compliance
wlth CovSd-19 regulatlons.

DurSng the year the church's unrestricted general fund income totalled £125k12020'. £128k}. The main reason
for the tjecrease In income is attrlbuted to unavallabllity in mom lettlngs due to the restroctfjons assoclated wlth
the Covtd-19 pandemic 1£4kl. The end o18ovemment assistance, in thè form of the job retentlon scheme
accounted for a1£4kl drop, with the DCMS VAT recovery scheme for Usted Pla¢es of Worshlp delivering1£6kl
less than the prior year (this mainly due to our prioryear daim induding the VAT on the new organ). However,
these were more or less offset by in¢￿aSed Stewardship. Donations. FuTrJraisin8 actNtties and gift aid thereon.

The PCCS Bèneral rèserves pollcy is to hold reserves equal to a minimum of three months, expenditure.
Although the current level of Beneral reserves £37k is more than this figurÈ, It Is expected that Income from

The PCC constder5 that a reserve ot£31k is an appropriate sum to hold aside tor repairs required to the
