The trustees present their annu81 report and financial ststements forthe year ended 31 July 2024.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sel out in note 1 to the
financial statements and comply wlth the trust's Memorandum of Articles, the Companles Act 2006 and "Accounting
and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to ch8rities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland {FRS 102) (effective
1 January 20191..
Objectlves and actlvltiés
The trust's object5 are to advance the Chrlstian faith and to fiJlfill such oth8r purposes whlch are exduslvely charitsble,
according to the law of England and Wales, and are connected wlth the charitable work of the trust. It alms to support
and devèlop the Christian pres8nce primarily In the UK but also in other parts of the wortd.

The trustees have paid du8 regard to guldance Issued by the Charlty Commlsslon In deciding whal activities the trust
should undertake.
Achlevem8nt8 and performance
Significant activities and achievements against objeclives
Gather Collective has 3 main expressions and 2023-24 saw these grow and consolldate. The main Sunday church
congregation continued to attract up tc 65 dlfferent people in any given month. A smaller group (5-101 met every 2nd
week at the Community Garden on a Sunday morning.
Plans were made to prornote our activities to 1.400 houses wlthln a 15 minute walk as part of our commitment to
promoling asset based community development. This generated more volunteers for the garden project.
The Community Garden undemient a maintenanc8 upgrade to make it easier for our volunteers to find Materials and
create the crops that we us8 ourselves and donate to local food povety charities. This started in the final months of
the finance year and yielded in excess of 700 kilos of donated food. We also started a parent and toddler group that
attracts 10-20 parents with their children each week.
Flnanclal revlew
Total income during the year was £68,111 {2023'. £48,871) of which £8,92012023.' £9,456) was restricted. Total
expenditure during the year was £73,360 (2023.. £52,047) of which £8,511 (2023-. £4,736) was restricted.

ReseN8s policy
It15 the policy of thp trust that unrestrlcted funds which have not been restricted for a specific use should be malnlalned
at a level equivalent to approximately three months expenditure. The trustees are seeking ways to reach this level.
Major risks
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the trust is exposed, and are $8tisfi8d that syslems are in place
to mitigate exposure lo the major risks.
Structure, governance and managoment
The trust is a charity and a company limlted by guarantee. incorporated on 1 July 2010. The trust is led on a day to
day basis by Dave Roberts. and support team, who report to the trustees on a regular bas1S.

for preparing the Tru5tees' Report and the financlal statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom
Accounting Standards (Unit8d Kingdom Gen8rally Accepted Accountlng Pracucel.
Company Law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and falr
vlew of the State of affairs ofthe trust and of the incomlng resources and appllc8tion of resources, including the income
and expendlture, of the charitable company for that year.
In preparfng these financl81 ststements, the trustee5 are requlred to:
select suitable accountlng policies and then apply them consistently;
observe the fflethods and principles in the Charitles SORP;
make ludgements and estlmates that are reasonable and prudent-
state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subl8ct to any materlal departures
disclosed and explalned In the financlal statements., and
prepare the finan¢lal stat8ments on the going concern basls unless It Is Inapproprlate to presume that th8 trust will
continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeplng adequate accounting records that disclose wlth reasonable accuracy at any
tlme ihe financial position of the trust and enable them lo ensure that the financial statements comply with the
Companies Art 2006. They are a150 responsible for safeguarding the assets of the trust and hence for takn'ng

TO THE TRUSTEES OF GATHER COLLECTIVE LIMITED
I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of Gather Collective Limited (the trust) for the
year ended 31 July 2024.
Responslblllties and basls of report
As the trustees of the trust (and also Its directors for the purposes of company lawl you are responsible for the
preparation of the financial statements in 8ccordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 (the 2006
Act).
Having satisfied myself that the financlal stalements of the trust are not requlred to be audlted under Part 16 of the
2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination. I report in respect of my examlnation of the trust's flnancial
statement8 carried out under section 145 of the Charitles Act 2011 (the 2011 Act). In carrylng out my exarnination I
have followed all the applicable Dlrections given by tha Charity Commission under section 145{5){b) of the 2011 Act.

Gather Collective Limited is a prlvate company limlted by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The
registered offlce 15 Chantry House. 22 Upperton Road, Eastboume, East Sussex, BN21 1 BF.
1.1 Accountlng conventlon
The accounts have been prepared in accordance wlth the trusvs Memorandum and Artlcles of Association. th8
Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charitl8s'. Statement of Recommended Practic8
applicable to charlties preparing their accounts in accordance wlth the Financial Reporting Stand8rd applicab18
In the UK and Republlc of Ireland IFRS 102)" las amended for accounting periods commencing from 1 January
20191, The trust Is a Public Benefit Enllty as defined by FRS 102.
The trust has tak8n advantage of the provlsions in the SORP for charities applying FRS 102 Update Bulletin 1
not to prepar8 a Statement of Cash Flows.
The financlal statement8 are prepared In sterllng, whlch Is the functional currency of the trust. Monetary amounts
in these financial statements are rounded lo the nearest £.
The flnanclal statements have been prepared under the histOTlcal cost convention. The princlpal accounting
policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 Golng concern
At the tlme of approvlng the financlal statements, the trustees have a reasonable expeclatlon that the trust has
adequate resources to contlnue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue
to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
1.3 Charitable fund8
Unrestricted funds are 8V8i18ble for use at the discretion of the trustees in furth8rance of their charitable
objectlves.
Restr4cted funds are subject to specific condltions by donors or grantors as to how they may be used. Th8
purp¢)ses and uses of the restricted funds are set out In the notes to the financlal ststements.
1.4 Income
Income18 r8cognlsed when the trust Is legally enlltled to It after any performance conditions hav8 been met, the
amounts can be measured rellably, and il Is probable that income wlll be received.
Cash donatlons are recognised on rec8Ipt. Other donatlons are recognised once the trust has been notlfied of
the donatlon, unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount. Income tax recoverable in relation
to donations recelved under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the tlme of the donation.
Legacles are recogn15ed on receipt or otherwise If the trust has been notSfled of an impendlng distribution. the
amount is known, and receipt is expecled. If the amount is not known. the legacy is treated as a contingent
ass8t.
1.5 Expendlture
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit to a third
paty, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will b8 required in sett18ment, and the amount of the
obligatlon can be measur8d rellably.
Resources expended are recognised in the period in which they are incurred and allocated to the appropriate
expendlture category.

1.6 Property, plant and equipment
Propety, plant and equipment are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation.
net of depreciation and any impairment losses. Generally only Items wlth a purchase price above £500 are
capitalised.
Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over thelr

1.7 Cash and cash equlvalents
Cash and cash equlvalents indude cash in hand, deposlts held at call with banks, olher 5hart-term liquid
investments with original maturit18s of three months or less, and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown
within tiorrowings in current liabilities.
1.8 Flnanclal Instruments
The trust has elected to apply the provisions of Section 11 'Basic Financial Instruments, and Section 12 '0ther
Financlal Instruments1sSUes' of FRS 102 to all of ils financial instruments,
Finenclal instruments ar8 recognised In the trusvs balance sheetwhen the trust becomes paty to the conlraclual
provisions of the instrument.
Financlal assets and liablllties are offset, with the net amounts presented In the financial statsmenls, when there
is a legally enforceable right to set off the recognlsed amounts and there is an intentlon to settle on a net basls

Payments to defined contribution retirement benefit schemes are charged as an expense as they fall due.

Crltlcal accounting estirnates and judgements
In the application of the trust's accounting policies, the trustees are requlred to make judgements, estimates
and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilitles that are not readlly apparent from other
sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are based on hlstorical experlence and other factors that
are considered to be relevant. Actual results may differ from these estimates.
The estlmates and underlying assumptions are rev18wed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting
estlmates are recognised in the p8rlod in which the estimate is revlsed where th8 revision affects only that
period, or In thg pedod of the revision and future perlods where the revlsion affects both current and future
periods.
