Independent Examiner's Report Bailiff Bridge Community Centre Limited T have examined the attached account and statement for the year ended 30th June 2025

Respective responsibilities of director and auditors

The trustees of the charity are responsible for the preparation of accounts, they consider that the audit requirement under the Charities Act 2011 does not apply. I have been appointed under the Charities Act 2011 and report in accordance with the regulations made under the Act, It is my responsibility to examine accounts, to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of Examiner's Statement

My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of an unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning such matters, The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.

The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard to Smaller Entities, and include the results of the company's operations which are described in the Directors’ Report and all of which are continuing. The company has taken advantage of the exemption in Financial Reporting Standard No. 1 from the requirement to produce a cash flow statement on the grounds that it is a small company.

(b) Tangible fixed assets and depreciation

Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost. Depreciation is provided at a rate so as to write off the cost over their expected useful life.

The Club is treated for Corporation Tax purposes as being mutually trading and is not liable for Corporation Tax on any Trading Profits it makes. Any charge to Corporation Tax is based on Investment Income for the year.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The objectives of the association are to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the further objective of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Bailiff Bridge and the surrounding neighbourhood.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

The two halls are hired out to various groups: Weekly Cubs, Scouts and Rangers

A ‘seniors’ band hold weekly practice sessions

There are weekly Social Dancing, Yoga, Baby yoga and Post Natal Yoga, Keep Fit and Pilates classes that cater for all age groups

After school Craft classes

The halls are also used for children’s parties, birthdays, anniversaries, Christening parties, weddings and funerals and also school exams

Annual General Meetings are held for local associations.

There are weekly Slimming World and Weight Watchers groups. Voluntary work/litter picking is carried out to maintain the grounds, the Memorial Park and the village centre.
