ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Dost UK has primarily funded the Street Children Rehabilitation Programme. This was a continuation from the previous year and provides day care and night shelter facilities for street children. As Dost Pakistan has a well-established model, which they have been using for the past 27 years, this continues to have a very positive impact on all the groups they work with. This same model, when used with street children, means they get 360° care. Thanks to our funding, 25 children per month are given health, hygiene and educational services; counselling, safety from the streets, playtime and through our vast network of contacts around the country, we are able to reunite many of them with their families. On average, 8 children per month were given residential treatment each lasting three months, including HIV screening, psychological services, and vocational skills training. The funding will continue into 2023.
In addition, Dost UK has Adult Drug Demand Reduction which is due to end at the end of 2022. The project is for the extension of the Dost Welfare Foundation Pakistan ongoing services for Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Programme for adult male drug

With financial assistance from Dost UK drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation services will be given to deserving and motivated adult male addicts who cannot afford treatment charges. Special criteria will be set for selection of most deserving addicts including prior marketable/life’s skills, knowledge of DOST’s programme, motivation for staying longer periods as TC’s members and commitment for engaging in community-based self-help groups. Under this programme, 18 patients were treated and over 170 counselling sessions for individuals and families conducted .

the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view’ which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or
-
the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
