**Objects:** THE ONLY OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE COMPANY IS ESTABLISHED ARE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT AND IN PARTICULAR:TO ASSIST THE EMERGENCY AND OTHER RESCUE SERVICES TO PREVENT THE LOSS OF LIFE OR INJURY BY SUPPORTING MOUNTAIN RESCUE OPERATIONS;TO ASSIST THE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF DISABLED PEOPLE PARTICULARLY BY SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES AIMED AT ENCOURAGING PHYSICAL PURSUITS IN THE OUTDOORS;TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS, PARTICULARLY WHERE SUCH CHILDREN AND ADULTS ARE LIVING IN DISADVANTAGED CIRCUMSTANCES AND WHERE THERE IS NO STATUTORY OBLIGATION ON ANY OTHER ORGANISATION TO PROVIDE FOR THEM ("THE OBJECTS");AND THE TRUSTEES SHALL CARRY OUT THE OBJECTS PRIMARILY IN THE NORTH EAST AND NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND, BUT MAY SUPPORT PROJECTS OUTSIDE OF THOSE AREAS AS FROM TIME TO TIME THEY THINK FIT.

The trustees are particularly keen to support projects in the North East of England, reaching those most disadvantaged in the region.  The charity has adopted a grant making policy and is actively seeking out charitable organisations which it might support.
