In carrying out/planning our activities this year the trustees kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and reviewed these at our trustee meetings. ## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

We continue to receive requests from SMA sufferers and their families for help and support, with referrals from people whom we’ve helped also proving to be valuable. Again despite the heavily reduced number of events we held this year, again our fundraising events have proved to be a viable avenue to generate income, As with previous years a substantial proportion of our funds continue to be generated from our annual Ball (our single most successful event) this is also one of our main avenues in which we raise our profile with support from individuals, companies and even the venue who donated time, services and products for the event, helping to ensure its success.

This year we had continued growth of individuals taking part in fundraising/sponsorship events e.g. organised runs, and bike rides

Our Trading activity (wristbands, car stickers, Hoodies etc) has seen an comparable revenue this year against last year and previous we will continue to review on a quarterly basis. Clothing orders continue to be placed on an as required basis. We have seen voluntary donations increase in this past year which is pleasing with the continued cost of living crisis. We remain hopeful for the year ahead.
