|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The Church does not measure the success of<br>its programmes only in numbers, including<br>financial numbers, but also in less tangible<br>areas like fellowship and encouragement.<br>The Trustees recognise that these are difficult<br>to measure but believe that 2022 was a<br>positive year in the life of the church, and that<br>it will be able to pursue its mission purposes<br>in 2023 with renewed enthusiasm.<br>Seven people professed faith in Jesus Christ<br>for the first time during the year and were<br>baptised and received into church<br>membership. Three other people joined the<br>church by transfer from other churches,<br>having publicly reaffirmed their faith in Jesus<br>Christ. One church members died during the<br>year, and two moved to another church in a<br>different part of the country. At 31 December<br>2022 the membership stood at 54 compared<br>to 50 a year earlier.<br>Average attendance at worship services has<br>increased during the year, and similar<br>increases were shown in the children’s work<br>and work amongst young people. The<br>Toddler Group continued to be<br>oversubscribed with a waiting list of people<br>wishing to attend regularly. Two ‘Just<br>Looking’ courses and two ‘Alpha’ courses<br>were fully subscribed, and three of the<br>people baptised found faith in these events|





Newcounter Summer has been re- branded as Redfiest. Its focus is on engaging with different groups of people. This year our focus was on Engaging with homelessness and global education on Model day slavery . It was a great success with many young people being challenged.

**Section A Independent Examiner’s Report Report to the** Charity Name THE NATION CHURCH OF PEACE AND COMMUNION **trustees/ members of** 31/03/2022 **Charity** 1139164 **On accounts for the no (if year ended any) Set out on pages** 1-2 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2023. **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of **basis of report** the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material **examiner's** matters have come to my attention in connection with the **statement** examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
