INDLPENDENT EXMIINER?S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF ARDLEIGH PRE-
SCHOOL
I report on the accounts of the company for the year ended 31 August 2024, which are set out on pages
I to3.
Respective responsibilities ot trustees and examiner
The trustees (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of coinpany law) are
responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The t￿SteeS consider that an audit is not required for
this year imder section 144(2) of the Chariti¢s Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent
examination is needed. The charity's gross income does not exceed £250,000 and I am an independent
person who is reasonably believed by the charity tTUStees to have the requisite ability and practical
experience to carry out a competent examination of the accounts.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subj¢ct to audit und¢r company law and is eligible for
independent examination, it is my responsibility to:
Examine the accounts under Section 145 of the 201 l Act.
To follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under
Section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act. and
To state whether particular mattcrs knv¢ com¢ to my attcntion.
Basis of independent exarniller's report
My examination was carried out in ￿e0rdance with the general Directors givell by the Charity
Commission. An examination inGludcs a rcvicw of thG accoulltlllg records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
itcms or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from yoii as trustees concerning any
such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all th¢ evidence that would bc required in an
audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts pres¢nt a 'true and fair view,
and the report is linllted to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has coine to my attention:

(i} which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any inaterial respect ttLe Tequirements:
to k¢￿ accounting records in accordance with section 3 86 of the Companies Act 2006. and
to pr¢pare accounts which accord with the accounting records, comply with the accounting
requirements of section 3 96 of the Companies Act 2006 and with the methods and principals of the
Statement of Recommended Practice:
Accounting and Reporting by ch￿l￿¢S have not been met. or
(li) to whic14 in my opinion, attention should be dr&wn in ordcr to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
