**Charitable Aims and Objectives:** 

- (1) To advance the education of pupils attending Castle School by providing educational assistance, facilities, support and services not normally provided by the Local Authority. 

- (2) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for educational, recreational or leisure time occupation for the residents of Cambridgeshire in the interests of social welfare and the promotion of healthy living. 

## **Management of the Charity:** 

CSCA is an ‘Umbrella’ charity managed by a Management Committee consisting of the three trustees, the Headteacher and School Business Manager of Castle School. 

## **Brief Financial Overview:** 

## **Receipts:** 

During this period the charity was in receipt of donations from a number of individuals, companies and charities in support of our aims. The school community also raised considerable sums with their fundraising activities. 



## **Achievements:** 

In July 2025 we were informed that the Revitalising Trusts Team at the Charity Commission had confirmed that we were to be the beneficiary of funds held in dormant accounts by a charity attached to one of our predecessor schools. This was very welcome news after years of work trying to resolve this situation and will enable several planned projects to go forward in 2025-26. 

During 2024-25 the charity had been pleased to provide grants for various resources and equipment for the school in support of our pupils continued learning. 

This included: 

- Supporting the continued licence costs associated with the provision of safe work experience opportunities within a retail environment; 

- Supporting the sixth form enterprise project; 

- Gardening Project; 

- Celebrations throughout the year. 

Our accounts also include the cost of our Parent Kind subscription which includes indemnity and public liability insurance. 

## **Summary:** 

The trustees are pleased to report that this period was another highly successful time for CSCA and Castle School resulting in the need for this written report again.
